i find the biggest issue with people who just try and jump into tandems that are decent at drifting solo is they never give the lead enough room to transition and it's very frustrating

You see I’m new to carx but this is my main issue I’m not trying to hit the lead car, it as-well frustrates me when I hit the lead car as-well cause I feel bad. But I think honestly I need to get more comfortable drifting with others hence I’ve only really drifted alone.
I've played carX since 2020/2021, and last week FINALLY got a controller, and since then I've been practicing the smoothest tandems possible! No controller tweaks and agressive driving, all smooooth! Been so happy cause it's working, leading and chasing very well.
But it's weird that I've been noticing that people, who are genuine good drifters (those who play with controller), they tweak the directions A LOT, use the handbrakes A LOT...
They manage to keep up with whatever tandem, but it just doesn't look good at all...
This is very common to find, controller, keyboard and wheel.
It’s a tough skill to learn. Easy ways to allow room for transitions is throw a little more angle right before a transition to create space. That or a quick handbrake/footbrake tap before a transition creates just enough room. Like he said early in the video, tandem with yourself

Also, if ur leading try not to use the handbrake use throttle and brake instead. Half the time the chaser will hit u if u hold the handbrake

Tip, learn to use brake/reverse more than the hand brake so you aren’t cutting/losing speed. Hand braking is lazy drifting.

You can learn all this and there’ll still be that one person and who will crash into you 🤦🏽.But this helped me to learn how to tandem really good thanks 🙏🏽

Hey, some people have been having crashes like every few minutes into the game, if you know anything about this or a solution, that would be awesome, if not that's okay. Great content as well
throttle control, and run your rpms higher than you would normally when your tuning. Makes tandoming a little easier. Like he said tandeming with yourself is the best way to get better for online
Also run low torque if you have high horsepower

when you have a proper lead who is actually braking and slowing down for you, its much easier than when you chase yourself since your chasing a ghost that isnt properly slowing down when it needs to, so its a bit hard to get doors that way, which is why Ty couldnt get too close before it would take on on him
