Thanks buds, this helped a lot and got some tighter tandems going.
Being the chase car, I've now simplified it to chase either their headlight or tire, and it works pretty well.
I have only been playing for 3 days, but i am definitely one of the guys doing everything wrong that you pointed out, lol. I think i just perceived drifting as getting your nose as close to the line or wall as possible without hitting it. Obviously, your video shows me my perspective is wrong, and i really needed this video. It is very well explained, and thank you. Now i can practice and get better at tandems and have more fun!

Such an irritation that when you do take a wide line leading, people just inside line around you so you get no good lead practice. Also super annoying that when you chase someone doing some nice smooth outside lines and you get close to them they start inside line drifting for some unknown reasons.

Driving etiquette maybe? Another way of saying “I don’t feel like leading”. Leading definitely does have a much more pressure than the chaser since you’re following their movements
A good chaser should be able to follow the line the leader takes, predicting how they will slide the next corner and when they transition
Finally a good vid on tendems now hopefully some of the public players will watch this
An learn to lead better an hold better more consistent lines also chasers that push into the line they can't keep up and since they pushed in they mess up everyone else behind them

So I am just recently getting into lobbies and tandems and this helped alot.. Drifting solo I was just thinking about outside and inside clipping points, then going online thinking I'm this mad drifter.. but this was a great explanation and example of why it doesn't work in tandems 👍. I shall no longer be the source of cringe 😂 thank you

7:45 I'd like to point out that the reason for that is based on your peak torque. So if you want to catch up that's where you should be sitting. Find it in your Engine Settings.

You should try FD tandems. Hella fun. Both cars have 120adh hella grip and speed. It’s fun sticking to doors while the person in front of you thinks he could outrun you😂. Good lines are a mandatory tho, don’t compromise lines for speed 🙅🏽♂️

i drift on the inside but im not drifting for tandems, i drift for racing. im not sure if that why other do it. prosonaly i like racing more than tandems. like initial d or Toyoko drift. i get bored with tandems quick

Everything you say and come with practice I've been playing this game for 3 years I started out One hundreds but then I'll work my way up to 120 and that was crazy but now I'm on 1/10 it's more balanced for me I can control my car it just kind of practice that's all and a lower dedication I gotta give it to you bro you a You pass on what you know to the drift community to those that really want to learn thank you much thanks unto you I have no problem giving respect to those who taught me Taught me something that's life I've learned once again thank you young brother

Ik I'm kinda late but I feel l8ke in public lobbies now that the leaders be doing chasing lines instead of leading lines if that make sense I stop playing for a month and the leaders be doing the inside lines it's really confusing me l. So I hope people watch your videos so we can have good tandems in public lobbies again

These arent even good tandems, maybe lower your hp from over 1000 for christ sake and youll be cleaner. Ty skids ruins the carx community, everyone needs to slow down and smooth up.
