You got to love an old magnum or an old maxxum. And you're right, they do put a smile 😃 on your face when driving. I used to drive 5150 Pro and am always happy to do a good day's work on them. You should keep the old girl as there one of those tractors they seem to creep up in their value. It's always good to watch us video, 👍
7210 very strong workhorse could end up regretting getting rid of it Nice to see loads of mature tractors in there work clothes being used on a daily bases or when required
Proper workhorse those magnums.Drove a 7220 with rear duals and a 7250 on wide singles.7250 did primary tillage and 7220 did secondary tillage.Neighbour had a 7110 used to pull 5 subsoiler legs set of discs and dowdeswell 5 furrow reversible plough.Our boss used to moan that his 7110 could pull far better than our 7220,happy days.
Great video Richard, time you used them John deeres sat at the back gathering dust, keep the magnum you never no something might go wrong with new Holland and she saves the day, rough as arseholes , say it how it is. Keep them combis it's gets wetter every winter. Have a great week rich.
Brilliant , Video . I don't think it's a rough old farm tis a working farm that always seems busy . Lot of machinery , arable ,now some cows , any amount of pigs cattle and a few sheep kicking about with a small team of men that all seem to know what your doing .
Living in a mad crazy world with less to smile about each day if that Magnum puts a smile on your face I’d bloody well keep it. It’s bred from good stock Cummins in tractor = reliable performance without the dramas🚜👍
We had a 3m KV power harrow from new with an Accord drill on it. Very heavy, leaked like a collander, I eventually got sick of mending it & it went to York with the farm force triggers brush drill on it that replaced the Accord. Big thumbs up for Pottinger rakes & drills here
I love your rough old farm in East Yorkshire and the rough old people on it. 😉 The way I look at it is if it works well and makes you smile you should keep it and give it one or two jobs to keep it going and keep you smiling. Same with old JDs, they can do light work and what not for a day or two and if you're close to the yard put them on a trailer for bales or grain cart, so long as they'll tip a trailer, something where a load of corn will make them blow the cobwebs out a bit. If they're not used at all they'll just deteriorate and you may as well sell them. Do you go on any tractor runs or maybe a charity dyno day? If that floats your boat.
Ey up Robert ,no not into tractor runs , go to local town to see them come through ,when young farmers do one , usually from out side a pub , old tractors staying for now cheers Rich
Looks a fine powerhouse that case, Could you do a video of your JD 6505, that's only the 2nd one I've ever seen, I use one to pull a 4 furrow dowdswell and it doesn't miss a beat, lovely to drive but a bit slow on the road. Cheers 👍

There's heavier components in the back end I think in the 30 and 40 models. I thought that new holland came from the Ford stable, the G series. These were subsequently dropped for the blue version of a magnum.
Nice fleet of classic/ near classic tractors and probably cost no more than a new shiny one full of electronics champing at the bit to go wrong when you need it most.
Just a suggestion Rich, I think you or Olly or Phil on a wet day etc should set about some of the older tractors with an orbital polisher if that's the right term, and pastes etc. If you got the technique right it would enhance the saleability of a tractor if you were looking to sell on.
You're best sticking with the owd kit Richard at least you can fix it .unlike these new tractors farmers are beginning to realise all these,computers in these tractors if they go wrong costing them a fortune when they go wrong.

True, the value of this tractor is only going one way. They're going crazy prices in the states atm.

Great too see around the tractor collection. Many years ago I got to drive a County 1174 briefly on corn cart. Complete beast with crash box.
There was a cattle Top in Emer evens but I think the price was strong but have a look at his web site

True classic for sure and I don’t know 100% I think that were first Case IH model I saw close up!
I like N.H especially the T7 series but we had T9 and was hard manoeuvre around so we stuck to New Holland with Claas harvesters

Will be a Rotel or a Cybernet , we all had them in years back
