Kinakabahan ako this 2023 UPCAT lalu na't gusto kong mag Nursing and UPM and PLM lang pagasa ko kaso sobrang taas ng Standards nila kaya 50/50 kung makakamit ko pangarap kong course

Nag-eenjoy naman mga tao. Depende talaga yun sa'yo. There's a lot of orgs you can join, both sa CAS (where you'll spend 2 years) and CM (for med). For INTARMED din, may buddy lines so you'll have a buddy and you'll feel less alone sa journey mo. For me, I joined like 4 orgs 1st year pa lang haha. And people say fun naman maging INTARMED. Lahat naman ata talaga ng course may pros and cons. Depende yun sa'yo if you make the best out of what you have ☺️

For me, you can survive naman. Filipino naman ginagamit to communicate with other people.
May major subjects na kailangan mong i-take. Communications tawag noong time namin, idk ano na name ngayon. So ayun, mahahasa ka talaga to speak and write in English.
Tsaka alam ko sa interview, pwede mag-Filipino basta straight Filipino and not Taglish (this is for UP Med)

Hi! I need your help! 😭 I'm planning to take UPCAT this year, and super anxious and confused sa pipiliin kong courses. Pinaka gusto ko talaga is, Nursing pero super kinakabahan ako kasi feeling ko di ako papasa. So for my 2nd choice I was choosing between Pharma and Behavioral Science. And yes po, UP Manila ang target kong school. Any tips and advice for me po? What should I do? What should I put on my 1st and 2nd choice?
Dapat di ka panghinaan! May confidence ka dapat sa sarili mo para di ka mag-add ng unnecessary anxiety sa isip mo. ☺️
For the second course, ilagay mo anong gusto mo talaga. Mahirap na doon ka makapasa na course tapos di mo pala gusto. Technically speaking, parang mas mababa nang kaunti ang kailangang UPCAT score for Behavioral Science, pero I'm really not sure. Bottom line, put what you really want
You can choose 4 courses per campus na as far as I know. Nursing is kinda special kasi "double quota" raw siya according to my friends. Pharma is also a quota course and it branches to two programs: Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Practice answering tests under time pressure! Wag ka kabahan masyado, kayang kaya mo yan! Looking forward to becoming your future schoolmate!

Jusko yung first Three years ko sa hs mga 89-92 lang ang gpa, tas sa last 3 years ang matataas 93-95

Hindi siya kasama sa results. Ang isusulat sa results ay yung sinulat mong course. Hehe. Then a few months (?) basta some time after, nagpopost sa UPCM building ng list nga na for interview. Nagpopost din sa website and sa FB. Tas mga med people naman pinipicturan yun tas kinakalat online so more people will see hehe. Best of luck to you! I really hope makapasok ka 💖 keep safe!

Hello po! When you got interviewed for INTARMED, for each question they ask you, is there a timer or do they let you speak freely infront of them? ALSO po, does UPCAT // INTARMED take into account the senior high school you went to? Does the Senior High School you went to matter when getting into UP INTARMED? Hope you reply. It will be a big help. Thank you huhu
No time limit sa akin. Parang nag-usap lang talaga kami. Afaik, walang factor ang school. Grades oo. 40% ata grades, not sure. Then the remaining percentage for the UPCAT raw scores.
Tips on how to review efficiently, since we're on lockdown and procrastination is a huge struggle.
Set a schedule talaga tapos stick to it! For example, mag-aaral ka for four hours. Pakiusapan mo family members mo not to disturb you for those four hours. Tapos don't use your phone so you won't be tempted to do something else.
Gawa ka schedule kung ano aaralin mo for specific dates (and even specific dates). Pagkatapos, reward yourself para you have something to look forward to! If natapos mo ang four hours na yun without distraction, you can watch TH-cam videos ganoon. Or pwede ring you can get your favorite food.

Hi po! I'm planning to take UPCAT this year, for occupational therapy and pinanghihinaan po ako loob kasi konti lang po ata ang students na kinukuha ron? konti nga lang po ba kinukuha?:( Any tips po? Thank you po!
Medyo konti nga, parang 1 or 2 blocks lang. Hindi ako sure sa exact number, sorry. Di rin ata sila nag-a-accept ng transferees. So para makapasok ka, dapat mataas UPCAT score mo para sure pasok sa first choice mo. At least ngayon alam mo na medyo mahirap nga pumasok. Use that to motivate yourself to study/review! Study as much as you can sa 4 subtests (language proficiency, reading comprehension, math, and science). Search online for free reviewers. Don't forget to believe in yourself and tell yourself every day na papasa ka. If you believe it, you can do it!!! 💖💖💖

I saw a vlog video from UP Med Graduate currently Licensed Doctor na din Siya.
According to his, 1st and 2nd year all about didactics.
3rd year is Hospital Exposures.
4th Year is Clerkship and 5th Year is Internship.
How about po sa 6th and 7th Year?
@@louieimperial9283 that's for med school na talaga. For direct entrants ng intarmed, 1st year and 2nd year is pre-med mo so you'll attend GE classes like you're in college. 3rd year mo is 1st year med school, 4th year is 2nd year med school, and so on
hello po. I just want to ask po if ever na makapasa po sa intarmed or other health related courses (nursing, dentistry, pharmacy), may mga rules po ba like bawal ang may kulay ang buhok and dapat may uniform or wala naman po? It is really my dream to study in UP po kasi, salamat po!
Sa lahat ng health related courses sa upm (white colleges ang tawag), required ang uniforms. For intarmed specifically, we wore uniforms starting 3rd year lang (1st year med proper). Sa ibang colleges, hindi ko alam anong stand nila with the hair. Sa up med, okay lang may kulay ang buhok. Good luck! Sana makapasok ka :)

Pag mag aaply po ba sa IntarMed same lang po ba yung i tatake sa UPCAT? I mean, kung Medicine (for INTARMED) i tatake mo tas yung iba Engeneering same lang po ba coverage sa UPCAT?
Yup. UPCAT lang din. You're not even gonna write INTARMED sa courses. You just have to check the box that says if you're willing to be considered for an accelerated track for medicine.

Depende talaga eh :( 2-4 weeks ata pero paiba iba per batch. Ewan ko recently
Ate on a scale of one to ten how would you rate the difficulty of Math Subject in the UPCAT Exam? Nagdo-doubt po kasi ako sa knowledge na meron ako sa math especially na aware po ako na hindi ko nakukuha yung quality education na alam ko pong kailangan ko.
Hmmm ang tagal na kasi since I took the UPCAT (8 years ago!) so I don't remember the specifics haha. May mga nagsasabing it's one of the hardest entrance exams sa universities here in the Philippines, so if you want to compare UPCAT to other local college entrance exams, then it is relatively hard. Pero mahirap man iyan o madali, either way, kailangan mo pa rin mag-aral. Subjective naman mga opinyon ng tao so you can't really trust their words kasi what may be easy for them may be hard for you.
Since you think na hindi quality education ang nakukuha mo, better to self-study. All subjects naman will ask questions about topics from your first year of high school to your last. Search ka rin ng reviewers online; I feel like marami naman iyan. Ask help din from other people who have reviewers if you can.

Lets be realistic kung average student ka lang ba may chance pumasa ng upcat? All i know kasi parang 80% ang high school grades at maliit lang ang percentage sa upcat score tama ba?
Yup may chance pa rin! Most ng batch namin pumasa so kahit yung average o below average students pumasa. Marami sa kanila nag-review center plus araw araw nag-self study. If mababa grades mo kailangan bawiin mo sa UPCAT kaya they reviewed talaga.
30-40% lang ang high school grades component. Majority pa rin ang UPCAT score!

Hello po mag UPCAT po Kasi Ako sa aug, gusto ko po talaga mag med sa up magandang decision po ba na I check ang pag intarmed na sinasabi nyo po kung Hindi naman po Ako masyadong sure na makakapasa Ako sa upcat Kasi line of 7 Ako nung grade 8 then nag with honors at high honors naman nung 9-11 pero natatakot pa rin Ako kasi maraming nag sasabi na imposible na daw po 😭 please maganda po bang ituloy ko pa rin po pag pili ng program about medicine or wag nalang po Sana masagot po
Pwede mo naman i-check. Wala namang magbabago sa result kung i-check mo o hindi. It doesn't hurt to try. If makakapasa, good. If hindi, then there's another path destined for you. Good luck!
Diba po top 50 na boys at top 50 girls na nag check ng intarmed program po ba yung makakapasok tas yan din po yung makakuha ng oblation scholarship po? Or top 50 na boys at top 50 girls overall, kahit di nag check ng intarmed?
Oblation scholarship for the top 50 passers, regardless if they checked or not.
Intarmed preliminary qualifiers are the top 100 passers (50 males 50 females) who checked the box

For Science: bio, physics, chem
For Math: algebra, geometry, statistics, miscellaneous
For Reading Comprehension, nagbabago ang stories every year but the questions are similar na hinahanap kung ano yung paksa ng story, ano ginawa ng character na ito, etc.

Yes, it will help! Mataas iyan. Keep up mo lang na dapat mataas talaga grades mo in senior high. This would be a big advantage sa UPG mo.

If I chose UP Manila and Diliman po for my 2 preferred campuses, may chance po ba na i-relocate po ako sa campus like UP Baguio for the same course po if ever na inabutan po ako ng program quota?
Another question po hehe, if I were to take a pre-med course po, mas mataas po ba ang chance or like mas maganda po bang kunin ang mga pre-med course na nagrerequire po ng board exam after? 1. If hindi ka nakapasa sa Diliman or Manila, magiging DPWAS ka or waitlisted ka. This means pasa naman score mo overall pero di lang nakaabot sa cut-off ng Diliman at Manila. You then get your UPG sa registrar so you can apply sa other campuses.
2. Your pre-med doesn't matter that much, honestly. May pros and cons every course. I suggest you take the course you most like para di ka manghinayang.

Nung junior high po, isa ako sa mga with honors but my average lang po mula grade 7-10 is 90-91 lang po. Okay lang po ba yon?

Hello! Di ko alam ngayon ah, pero noong time ko, December siya. Kaso 7 years ago na iyon so hindi na applicable ito sa inyo 😬
For uplb vs upb, do your research! Ask around and search ka sa internet. Mga kilala ko lang kasi is from UPLB na Bio so hindi ko siya personally mako-compare. I also researched and both naman are CHED Centers of Excellence. These are given to courses na maganda talaga ang foundation, way ng pagtuturo nila, the number of papers published here and abroad, etc. This is why I know you'll get a quality education in either campus.

Pwede but you have to pay >1 millioni n exchange for the contract you signed na nagsasad na tapusin mo ang course mo

Oo. Med naman siya. Mas iikli pa path mo since 7 years lang, tapos na ang college+med school mo. After passing the boards ka pa mag aapply for residency sa surgery.

Hindi po tumatanggap ng transferees. High school graduates lang po na mataas ang UPCAT score ang tinatanggap.

Hi Dra, un po bng composition ng students under intarmed ay a) under doctor to the program ng doh b) not dttb but under rsa? Madami din bng ndi kasama sa dttb n students, un concern po kasi kung prefer ng mag residency after intarmed. Pag intindi po namin n prefer ng U.P. un mga under dttb. Tsk baka po may estimate po kayo kung magkano un cost kung sakali mag back out sa scholarship after maka board. Ang nabasa namin double ng nagastos ng school. Hm po kaya? Thank you and more power
If by intarmed you mean direct entrants (iyong galing high school then 7 years in college+med), you just need to pass the UPCAT and be one of the top 100 then you get screened (interview etc). So wala siya sa choices na linagay mo since for lateral entrants iyon (aka iyong nag college na then magmemed). Lahat naman ng students may RSA, regardless if you're a direct or lateral entrant, or if you're under scholarship or not. 'Pag normal student ka (aka not under the DOH scholarship), pwede ka mag-residency. Walang babayarang penalty iyon. Magbabayad lang if lalabas ka ng bansa before completing your RSA. If under DOH scholarship ka, di ako sure how much you'll pay since di pa ako naka-encounter nun. May iba pa namang scholarships aside from DOH para di ka ma-force mag-dttb. Ask ka na lang sa contact person ng upcm or check upcm's website

HELLO PO! I'm from Visayas po, specifically sa leyte. May UPV Tacloban po dito, pero sa Manila lang po ata merong INTARMED Program? kaso hindi po ako sure kung kaya ko maka pass sa INTARMED. Kaya pwedi po bang mag take sa UPV Tacloban para sa INTARMED Program kasi hindi po muna ako luluwas papuntang manila baka po kadi hinfi ako maka pasa sa INTARMED Program. Sana po makita niyo po 'to. Okay naman grades mo. If quota course gusto mo and sa Diliman or Manila gusto mong makapasok, taasan mo UPCAT score mo to be sure. ☺️

Not right after. Nag-aannounce ata sila online if available na ang results. Hindi ko alam now if it just takes days or weeks pa rin before maglabas ng results

Pwede pa rin! Just study extra extra hard para mataas makuha mong UPCAT scores to pull up the grades component.
Pero INTARMED is not the end-all-be-all. If ever di ka makapasa, okay lang yun. Basta just do your best, ha? Para masabi mo sa sarili mo kahit anong mangyari na ginawa mo lahat ng makakaya mo!

Hello! Wala pa ring UPCAT next year eh so if mag ggrade 12 ka next year, di ka rin magtetake. If ever matagal ka pa mag grade 12, I can't speak from experience kasi wala akong books na ginamit for review. Pero okay naman ata iyong MSA books na nabibili sa national book store

Hi ate! Mej confused lang po ako sa grading system (kung ano man po tawag sa right kinus wrong haha). If 50 items po tapos 4 mali, yung score po ba is 45 or 49?
49 po kasi .5 lang ang deduction per 1 weong answer
Score mo will be 49 (since right minus 1/4 wrong).
