Better loader operation “two functions” at once is awesome! Did not know that the Bad Boy had an advantage there. That is something that seriously bothers me on my KIOTI. Thanks for the video!
My RK 37 with a cab was made by TYM also. It comes with Rim Guard in the back tires standard. I sold it when I moved from Michigan to florida but it was a great tractor. TYM makes great tractors.
I almost bout an RK. Got the Mahindra instead, dealerhship was too far from me. Hows Florida? I have 5 acres on the water in west Mich, thinkin of a move to Florida if the prices correct. Just nervous about the hurricanes, insurance and taxes costs.
I'll definitely stick with my Kioti DK6020 cab, but this is great information. I like seeing all of the brand comparisons, and I think, to a degree, it keeps manufacturers on edge to improve products. Gone are the days of, "You can buy anything you want as long as it's green." At least in my region of the country.
My Bad Boy 4035 open cab sitting at 100 hrs is a beast! today pushed over old fence post with several cabbage palms around 3-4 ft and pepper trees. It made easy work for that job.
I sat in a 574 yesterday and was super happy with how big the cab was. I'm losing weight but I still am quite large and needed to not be poked by a steering wheel or levers.
Thats a nice tractor and great price. It sure sounded good when you fired it up. My only hold up with the brands that are not John Deere and Kubota is their financial system. Deere and Kubota have their own financial and make it very easy to purchase from them. If the other brands did something similar to them, i think they would definitely sell more equipment. Idk what they are using these days to finance equipment, its been a while since i looked into Branson, and TYM.
I love the looks of the Bad Boy tractors but dislike the branding. I know there are lots of bad boy mower dealers out there, but are they really going to be competent tractor mechanics? Kubota dealerships bread and butter is tractors. Mower dealers are going to be less familiar with the tractor world. Basic issues would be fine but when it comes to splitting a tractor, I don’t know about that. The TYM/Badboy machines are awesome capable machines and a heck of a value for sure!
Good video 👍 Honest talk about relevant concerns about operator size and comfort. The amount of standard features is impressive across the brands showcased 😊
For right around the same price you can buy a Massey Ferguson 2850M, have a superior tractor, made by a company thats been making some of the best tractors in the world for a century. That 2700 lift capacity advertised on the bad boy on the loader is at the pins, any reputable company gives you the capacity 30" forward of the pins. Do an honest review on a massey and youll see what you're missing out on. The one thing you don't take into account is longevity. Anyone who has been around tractors for long enough knows that most new brands come and go, and with them their parts and support. This also plays into resale value, TYM, Badboy, LS etc will more than likely be gone or rebranded in the next 5 or 10 years, and as such are a poor investment.
The reason the loader is more responsive is because the 5520, 5055, BB 4850, etc have a 11.9 gpm equipment hydraulic pump, about 4 more gpm. Wish they put that pump on the 574. I have planned on the 574 but there are some cool things on the 5520/5055. You didn't mention the 4 range hydro for example. What is the deal breaker for me is I want a factory 3rd rear remote, draft control, and the ability to control the 3pt from outside the cab.
@RockhillfarmYT TYM specs sheet says 7.9 I believe. In any case the 20s have more. I believe the 20s also have no draft control. So I'll probably buy the 574 for the 3rd rear remote, larger fuel tank and cab, and the draft control and see if my dealer can put the larger hydraulic pump on it.
Sounds like a great price for that tractor with a cab. Non-function note, it looks like Bad Boy has figured out where to put the tractor model numbers on the hood so they are clearly visible! Everyone else puts them where the loader blocks them from view from almost everywhere, has never made sense to me (I know it isn't an issue without the loader, but nearly everyone that is buying these tractors now want the loader and almost never take it off). No excuse now to not have the 3-pt adjustment lever on the rear of the tractor, especially with a cab (good that they are changing that to add one). Not a fan of how far forward the loader joystick is in the cab (but that is true of all the models now, that I have seen), my older Kioti DK50SE cab has the loader lever far enough back that I can easily go in and out the right side door, which i use as often as the left side door, without hitting the lever (the current Kioti's don't have the clearance for this anymore either). It probably seems like a small thing to most, since they haven't had the option before, but I wouldn't want to upgrade and lose that ability, my opinion anyways, yours can vary (it's fine that you would be wrong 🤣). Good video Brock, though I was lost for bit there as I had no idea what his issue was with lifting a 6x6, even if it was 20' long and super wet, or is he buying a full hack of 6x6's all the time for some reason.....oh, it is a bale of hay size? Thought those were just called 6' round bales.... Thought he was talking about 6x6 treated wood posts, oh well. Have a good one!!👍
The Branson 4820 (badboy 5045) hydro has very stiff hydro peddles and can not be adjusted. I think it’s due to the 4 range. It’s something that needs to be talked about.
Their mowers are good and have been around for a while. I have one of their mowers and have had it since 2019. I have changed the deck belt once changed the oil every season and the hydraulic fluid and filters. It has been flawless. Mowing 7 acres. I would take a serious look at them.

I’ve done at least two videos specifically discussing hydrostat versus shuttle shift. I’ll try to give two quick answers. First is look at the market. Tractor reps and dealers tell me that 95% of all compact tractors they sell are hydrostat because that’s what everybody wants. Everybody wants that because it’s dramatically more convenient to operate. If you’re moving a pile of dirt or spreading rock on your driveway or relocating, a brush pile, your life will be much easier with a hydrostat. If you’re planting rows of crops or bailing hay then you might want a Gear Drive., Transmission . A gear drive will pull harder

They all suffer front wheel bearing failure at some point if you need to lift and carry heavy items any distance. John Deere, Kubota, Kioti, LS, etc. I moved on to a compact wheel loader for moving heavy items and still use my Kioti DK-50 for a lot, just not moving 2000 pound items.

On my new KIOTI, my biggest complaint is the lack of standard features. Come on KIOTI, why are we paying for a rubber floor mat? 😂

Two points: A) Will this brand still be around 10 years from now? B) How serious can we take a tractor that's called Bad Boy???
I wonder how long parts will be available for tractors manufactured now. Is there any mandatory parts availability requirement?
