  • I lost my drone to a giant tree. I can't believe it. I thought it was high enough to do a preset drone shot and it totally smacked into a 60ft tree. I think it is lost forever, maybe I can recover it, but I am not sure how.

    Love your series so far! So you hike up the mountain? How long does that take?

    • @DanNoakes
      @DanNoakes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It takes about an 1.5 - 2 hours at the spot that I go. If there is a ton of snow and I have to blaze a new skin track it could take up to 3 hours. Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it.

      @@DanNoakes Hey Dan, that's awesome! So your 50 minute videos of skiing represent dozens of hours hiking then! Keep it up!

      @@spennyhenny7680 exactly. Lots of hours spent hiking. It’s such a privilege though. So beautiful up there. That’s part of the reason I want to share it with people this year. I know that not everyone is able to do it.

    That sucks about your drone! Wish there was some way to get it down. But if it fell it would be buried I suppose

    Dan, can you take a hatchet up and cut down the tree and retrieve the drone? I'm not far away (Victoria) if you need help. Good luck

      I have thought of that. You could easily cut down the tree, I think it would crush the drone on impact. Also another concern is, I think the Forest Service would come after us if we did that. I love the idea, you should come down here anyways to ski with me.
