Please ignore the annoying conversation at the start of the routine... Canadians!
Beautiful beam routine viktoria komova
Wow. very old school Russian style. I love the extension and attention to detail. Regardless of how difficult her gymnastics is, she always tries to make her gymnastics beautiful it seems. With her and Anna Pavlova on the Russian team in 2012, the olympics are going to be very fun to watch.
Вот только Анны Павловой в составе российской сборной по спортивной гимнастике не было. Даже запасной не взяли. Мол, двух олимпиад достаточно. Надо дать зеленый свет молодым гимнасткам.
I like when the judge smiles after Komovas dismount!
Yep I saw the same. That seems probably Komova owned judges by her beauty of show.
beautiful. NO ONE in the U.S. is this good
@lazypoke
You are welcome! It's for people like you that I painstakingly film the YOG and share it online. Tonight's All-Around final was absolutely exciting and exhilarating! Results: 1. Komova (RUS) 2. Tan (CHN) 3. Ferlito (ITA). I'll be uploading the videos over the next 2 days so watch out for them!
I sense a 2012 Olympic Champion! Viktoria IS the best gymnast in the world. hands down.
you jinxed it
@Selecious This girl is amazing; such confidence on the standing Arabian. She has her mothers beautiful lines, and such sureness in her work. Its weird, when youre watching her, you just KNOW she isnt going to fall off, she is so solid on all her landings. Her leaps are truly split, 180 degrees or more, no doubt about her making them. I dont think anyone can touch her at the moment. For me, Wieber is the "typical" American gymnast, a la Carly Patterson, Shaun Johnson powerhouse type.
@Selecious Komova and Mustafina are rated the best gymnasts in the world right now. Wieber and Bross really need to up their game if they are going to challange them because at the moment they are unbeatable and we are sure we will find out at the Europeans in a couple of months time.
When I see her compete I understand why raising the age limit to 17 is so controversial. This gymnast seems to be the best in world at the moment and should have the right to compete among the world`s best at the world championships. If the age limit is an issue, FIG should promote a Junior World Championships in order to know if the top gymnasts are able to compete at a senior level and peharps earn the right to go.
I hope you were as fascinated by her as I was.
I love her
She TOTALLY has a Nastia Liuken quality on BB!
@bekalc
Yup, Komova's bars are great! She even has an original move named after her. Check her bars routine out.
@loaugust
I don't have her event final routine but I think she's tired psychologically which affected her beam and floor finals quite badly. Which goes to show that she is human afterall and can't maintain a state of perfection for prolonged period. Hope she gets enough rest to sustain herself til London 2012.
I think the Russians are taking the world by storm... Just this World Championships going on right now we are seeing a revival of the Russians. Even the impressive Chinese has to play 2nd fiddle. Imagine when Komova (and a few more hidden Russians) steps up to form their best team in London 2012, they will truly be the team to beat.
Yup, she's amazing. Beautiful execution and nerves of steel!
But I think some Americans might argue that Jordyn Wieber is better... and they are both 15 this year. But since US chose not to send Wieber (or any other female) for the Youth Olympics, I guess we will have to wait til London 2012 to know who is better!
May I know why US chose not to send gymnasts for the youth Olympic?
@yangbofan She did not first back layout on beam properly, which affected her second which then caused her to fall. She injured her right thumb slightly after that routine. I think after that, she lost concentration.
Anyone gonna talk about the guy in the beginning who says "who snores louder, Robert or you?" 😂
LMAO
@Gr33nkiwi Oh Dear. I hadn`t read that on Weiber, how unfortunate. I don`t see Weiber being as strong as Komova. What frightens me the most the growth spurt she`ll have in the next couple of years. If her cochaes are smart they will protect. I guess the best reference is Nastia`s recovery in 2008 after having that problem.
@yangbofan Actually, I think she sprained her wrist initially which led to the double fall. And I thought her floor was fantastic, but correct me on this if you may.
I'm uploading Komova's vault and bars soon. Check back in a few hours!
@yangbofan At least that's better than being at the event! When one of the trampoline gymnasts (Bailey?) failed to complete his tramp routine after he hit the mat the commentator stated "at 17, he is aiming to compete at the 2012 Olympics".
Saying that right after a gymnast screws up is downright horrible and extremely bad timing to boot. I wanted to scream at him.
Quanto poder pra ela sair de duplo grupado, podia meter logo uma tripla pirueta ali, iria ficar mais do que perfeito... esse minina tá foda.. futura campeã olimpica, que me perdoa minha daiane dos santos! huahauhaua
Woww
why did she do two layout stepouts they wont be creditided
@LKC9215
I guess the script can't be changed, even though the situation has! LOL
@Gr33nkiwi
I couldn't agree more... I cringe when I listen to the commentary of the official telecast... those 2 guys are obviously not gymnasts. They couldn't tell a layout from a backflip and a side somi from a side aerial! I saw them commentating live and really felt like telling them to "do their homework"! LOL
Guy in red and green looking like Christmas
@Gr33nkiwi
Oh goodness, poor kid! Let's hope she doesn't self-destruct the way Kim Zmeskal and Vanessa Atler did before the Olympics come around.
What's her age
Nice routine but too bad that she fell twice in the final. She is a little injured.
or not..
@gymnasticsfan14 nope even those nbc people say she is the best in the world now
Komova é melhor que Mustafina, que é melhor que Johnson que é melhor que Sacramone. Só vai ter fera esse ano!! OUTUBRO CHEGA LOGO!!
@yangbofan totaly the russians will probaley take the floor, vault, aa, and team in 2012. Tan Sixin is amazing on beam got even a higher score than porgas the new world champ and He kexin still is on top even though she fell. Not looking good for the Americans bross cannot beat any of those Russians. Even Tim Dagget said Viktoria is the best in the world now
@apluskel n one
