Funny, I first learned to make this “magic bag” in my Home Economics class 40+ years ago, but had forgotten parts of the process! Now that you’ve brought it back, this is my favorite bag to make for graduation and wedding presents. And the recipients always LOVE their new bag. 🥰 THANK YOU!!!
I've made a few of these but my early attempts were more complicated than this brilliant tutorial. Love that I don't have to bind the edges with bias binding! Genius.

I have made several of these from an acrylic template, I have never had the end Fit right, the 45 degree angles of the sides are too short to match and have a lot of the zipper end not matching. I am so frustrated I don't know how to fix this other than to make a pleat in the bottom of the bag to bring the fabric in. If anyone can give me pointers I would sure love it!!!

Anyone... when cutting the pattern add 1cm all around on the fabric? Seems that the template is for the fusing ?
Yes. The pattern does not contain seam allowances.
When drawing on fabric, add 1cm.
