    Screens always seem to appear smaller in videos. I also did a 110" screen with an 11' viewing distance and its perfect. Also the Dolby recommended distance. You build is REALLY well done I'm completely envious of your star ceiling. Nice work.

      Another preference is to have the age wide enough to extend into and maybe the limit of your peripheral vision, which may be a wider viewing angle than Dolby specs.
      A matter of personal preference, ie sitting in the first row of a commercial theater vs middle or last row

    Such a Great idea and Build. Love the attention to detail. I do have some Questions. When you are watching a movie at the Level you enjoy. How much of the movie can you hear outside when the door is closed? Does it disturb your neighbors? OR does the Theater Shed do a Great Job keeping the sound in the room?

    • @MANSHED
      @MANSHED  2 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      The extra steps I took to sound proof the shed really paid off. At high volume levels you can hear that something is going on inside the shed but just barely. Certainly not at a level that would bother anyone or even be noticed. In fact I've never had a neighbor ask about the shed nor ever complain about loud noises. Thanks for watching!

    And I need some advice, doing a new build from scratch in a unfinished basement. Have most of the audio gear, some nice stuff mostly, Marantz, NHT, Definitive Tech., transiting my living room setup to this new home. My biggest limitation is going to be the 6' 6" ceiling. You would have to duck. And my first venture into projection instead of big conventional TV's. I'm thinking I need to go UST because of the ceiling height, etc. great VID!

    • @MANSHED
      @MANSHED  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, the UST route would be a good idea for you. That is a low ceiling height for sure. Even sitting dow I think my head would block the projector if you did a ceiling mounted one. haha

      @@MANSHED well I know 65k subs on youtube a video or 2 a month isn't even enough to do youtube full time. I've always wanted to to amazon and walmart stores. The problem Is I gotta learn on my own and lots of money. I mean the point of doing it is too make money but it takes alot of money too start. If I had that kind of money to start would mean I'm well off already so I wouldn't need to do it. Was thinking of shopify store since you don't put money out for products just advertising. It isn't like It used to be though so many people do it now its hard to make it and make a living doing it. My friend has a store year or two ago and his main product why people went there was this dumb flashlight that he paid 5 for. He sold it for 20 I think 5 for the product 5 ish for fb marketing and 10 profit. For 11 months that thing made him 6 figures by far. If I can get lucky like that that I'll take that money and than use it for the Walmart store. Also all the people who sell courses or charge to show you how to do it they show their earning on Instagram but people don't realize that money they are earning isn't from wbat they are teaching you its from people like me or them buying that course making them rich. That's what makes them rich not the stores. One day I'll find someone to help me without going broke paying for it.

      @@MANSHED also I love the shed one day I wanna do that. The house we are looking at purchasing In Pennsylvania has a detached 2 car garage/workshop. I could use that or there Is also a 0.7 acre lot. It will take me years thought that shit is expensive. A good projector expensive your is like 8k to 10k . Linus tech tips reviewed a good 4k 120 hertz one that is 4k still expensive but better. Speakers are expensive but not too bad I like klipsh or svs. The receiver is what is expensive. I mean just that smart light switch thing you got is 500 bucks crazy. Mine might end up being 4 chairs 3 front 2 back abd 86 Incb oled tv cheaper. Sound bar idk Dolby atmos sound bar. Cheap theater

      @@derekg2132 On TH-cam it’s not about how many subscribers you have but how many views you’re getting on your content and if you’re viewers are connecting with that content. However, TH-cam ad revenue it’s just a percentage of my gross business revenue. Affiliate marketing commissions and other online ventures are the primary source of income. There are honestly so many ways to generate income online and that is why I have my online mentorship program affiliate marketing pros which doesn’t really make a lot of money because I don’t charge a ton for the training information that I do in there because I would rather help people make more money than they spend and learn how to scale an online business. At the end of the day it all boils down to how passionate you are about making your goals a reality and how persistent you are each day in moving closer to that goal.

    Awesome setup, I don't wanna hate or anything but building a whole cinema in an extra room is a bit clunky and unnecessary. I personally like to have everything in one place. I have a living room with an open kitchen I have my couch and 65 inch tv horizontally. I use my projector vertically towards my windows and curtain from my kitchen, it totally fills up the whole space like a cinema. Hook up your laptop and TV soundbar and you're good to go! No drilling extra screens nothing.

    Finally, someone who saw the value of using a microwave for popcorn, as opposed to a popcorn machine.

    has anyone done a small 3 chair home theater and buy good Quality dolby atmos headphones instead of all these speakers and sound deadening etc? i know the bass in cinema's u can actually feel in ur chest due to the air being pushed out but headphones might give a much cheaper option for people especially the 20-40yr old age range who are use to headphone wearing these days.

    Definitely wrong on the screen size. Never in my time in the home theater hobby have I heard anyone talk about actually getting fatigue from going as a big as your room allows.
    If anything you are in the vast minority as far as you being technical about the "viewing angle".

      Yes, that part is hilarious. Sounds like a deflection of reason.

      I disagree! While screen size is important, his screen is big enough for the distance from it. Its about the sound experience also, not some crappy sound bar but a real home theater!

    Microwave popcorn is disgusting. And it is bad for you. I don't know how it is legally sold, just get a hot air popper.
