They tried to raise price of hotdog because it's at least four dollars less than what they should charge for it. The CEO of Costco said I will kill you if you raise price and the price hasn't been raised since. Lol
the fact you speak to Wolfy in both English and Japanese is cute and adorable but it will also come in handy when he gets older knowing two languages really goes a long way and is a very good skill to have
As someone who has been working for Costco 11 years this was very interesting to watch. It’s fun to see what same products are sold there, and how different some of the other stuff is. Especially in the deli area.
I love how Costco and Ikea tend to have the same layout even overseas and in different countries. Before the pandemic we would go just for the afternoon to get free samples and maybe buy a drink and a hotdog. My favorite part as a kid was when the person at the exit would draw a face or picture on the receipt if a kid gave it to them.
I feel like going to Costco in Japan is a big adventure while at LA, it's only 5 minute drive so it is a mundane trip, even going to buy some eggs and get gas for the car so definitely not too exciting haha. But thank you for a fun look inside the Japan's Costco, have a great weekend :D
@@josephchan7040 I live in LA County and mine is a 5min drive away, I think I'm just lucky. There are quite a few in Greater LA area but average is probably 15-20 mins
Unless you’re going to buy the book or it’s advertised to borrow in store, bring your child’s own books or toys. No one wants to buy something that’s been used by others.
I love watching international shopping trips. From Alaska, to Germany, my home England, all the way to yours ( and many in between). It's an eye opener !!
I really enjoyed this video. Just seeing Wolfy’ s curiosity and watching him explore made it a lot of fun. He was very excited since it was his first time there as a toddler. Next time he might be a bit calmer. He’s such a good little helper 🥰
Wolfy is sooooooooo freakin' cute...I'm sure all the other grandpa's out there will agree! My own little grandson is 9 months old, and quickly zooming to the toddler stage, which is my absolute favorite!
When I take my grand babies to the store I take a soft throw blanket and fold it up and put it in the sitting section in a way so they can fit their legs through but sit on something nice and soft. Also some thing soft to lean back on and lay their head on if they get sleepy. It really made things so much easier! I know if someone wanted most adults to sit on hard cold grocery basket wires , especially for an hour or more, they would think that was crazy. But for some reason they don’t seem to think a little child will be affected by it. ( Not inferring you do that though. Maybe it’s more of a oversight in my country. 🤔🤷🏼♀️
Love how Seattle Childrens Hospital was mentioned along with Almond Roca which is made in Tacoma,Wa. I’m from a city in between. Born in Tachikawa many years ago but have fond memories of Japan.❤️
He is clearly a half-American kid that he loves pizza. Great to see Costco in Japan look almost the same as in the US. Wolfy is going to have such an advantage as he grows up speaking both Japanese and English fluently.
This video so warming it felt like daddy taking family to shopping, so touching. Remind me when i was kids when grandpa and grandma bring me to buy clothing for the upcoming new year.
OH my heart!! Thank you for sharing your trip - you say Wolfy's a squirrely kid, but he's incredibly curious and intelligent - his mommy and daddy clearly talk to him a lot and provide him with high quality stimulation. He's getting so many words!
Make sure to read the carseat recommendations. Here in America (which may be different in Japan) children sit rear facing until 3 or 4 years old. The type of car seat Wolfie was in I don't think my kids used until they were like 5.
I miss Costco so much. Been there at Canada's and Mexico's. It's truly an adventure hahaha those that have it available to go to should be thankful! Wolfy is the most precious little bean, I'm so happy to see him well!
I am Japanese. When I was a kid, I loved going to Costco with my family about once every two months. It takes more than an hour drive, but Costco is a lot of fun because of all the big size items.
I love that fact that you explain as you go along with prices and comparing them makes it easy for Currency wise. And what to look out for, As in items range That's pretty awesome.
I went to Costco in Yamagata. I bought a LOT of stuff, and because I live alone, most of them got rotten... afterwards, I went back to my conbini life lol
Wolfy is definitely much more calm than my nephew. Our first shopping mall visit was an absolute disaster. We practically ran around after him the whole time. And he had his loud voice to match his energy. Wolfy is a Saint compared to that. Bless you guys!😊
I was just saying I needed to go to Costco! Oh my goodness, just leaving the house is an exhausting endeavor when they're that small. You did it! And I agree Wolfie! Pizza is the best.
its so fascinating to see another Costco warehouse in another country. I work at Costco in Australia and even though most of the warehouses look the same, the things that they're selling is a bit diff esp in Japan. i wanna visit soon! and try the food court foods 😂
Awww, Wolfy loves helping his mummy and daddy! Was that his first time eating pizza? If so, a big moment for a half-American child, LOL! Can't wait to see your Thanksgiving, and BTW, Maiko, your hair looks really cute!
This gave me such a giggle! My youngest gets the atlas crate from kiwico and got her Japan box just a few days ago. One of the activities was to make her own Koinobori. Perfect timing for childrens day! She's excited to show her Japanese language and culture teachers at school tomorrow! (we live in Okinawa but she attends a US school here so it's not a holiday for us) We do love Kiwico!!
If you can, you should have Wolfy sit backwards in the car seat. In America the recommendation is for kids to be back facing as long as possible. Typically until 3 or 4. This is because kids neck muscles are still not strong enough so whiplash is a serious concern.
Another wonderful video! Thank you! I grew up in Tacoma, Washington, home of Almond Roca, and lived in Seattle as well. It was great to see them represented here (in Japan)! As always, thank you for sharing your lives with us! Take care!
Wolfie seems to love the new car seat, Yeah!! And I noticed the musical accompaniment with the video while shopping in Costco, and I liked and appreciated it, Thank you. good job with the editing.
Hi Paolo & Maiko, just an fyi it's safest to keep Wolfy rear facing until he maxes out on the height/weight limit of the carseat's rear facing mode (check the manual for specifics)!

I love going to Costco its always an experience as to what you will find. Its nice to see the differences between them like the layout and what is sold . The Costco i go to is huge and i always over spend without meaning too
I am amazed that Costco is there considering the deals are usually bulk sizes. From your other videos about space it seems like they would go against each other. Used to live in an apartment but we had a rented garage on site that we put a freezer in to make the most but just an apartment you have to know exactly what you need to buy.
