I like the scene right after this. When Tommy and Claudia go into the kitchen and they hug. It's such an emotional moment for me. He puts up with all of Joanne's shit and can joke it off, but he's really hurting so much. It's so relatable, that's why he's my absolute favorite character.
you cut the scene too short!! i love it when Joanne reveals that Tommy got married, and the dad was all serious and like "Tommy, just tell me one thing. Did you wear a dress...?" LMFAO!! the dad is funny as hell in this movie.....=3
I own this movie, but as I lay here suffering from stomach flu when I hear a character in my son's video game sing "Daisy Bell". It took me a moment but then I remembered Aunt Glady sings it in this WONDERFUL movie. I agree that it's underrated. The acting is spectacular and I love the perfect balance of humor, seriousness and love story. I can't pick a favorite part because I have a connection with every character.
@JonasPonage Hey that sounds pretty interesting. Does anybody sit down to the table anymore though?...I know my family doesen't, we used to when I was a kid, but now everybody just grabs a plate and finds a corner somewhere.
Does anyone think that JoAnne's husband messed up his line when he said "Claudia, it's not even worth it"? 1:54 He was talking to his wife and said the name of Holy Hunter's character...

The Late Charles Durning is brilliant in this scene, a true legend!!! RIP
He sure was great!
i'm in love with this movie.

Awesome move. Most realistic holiday movie out there!
I love the Dad! Its funny how they're all trying to help and not laugh at once!
jodi fosters "idea" of family life, almost gets it, but everything over the top.
Fab film... and best scene... RDJ hilarious

"Look at my tie."
Wow, what a shame!
Wow, RDJ way back 1995, :D
Yep, at 30 years old! Which means, he's 59 now, WOW!! 😲

Hahahhaa
ESO ROBERT DALE AL PAVO!!!
Does anyone else think that RDJ talks/has the same mannerisms as Anthony Michael Hall in The Breakfast Club? I can't not see it!

No he totally meant Claudia.
Pause the video at 17 seconds in. Feel the fear...
