India is like 1/5 of the world's population, so it seems a little bit silly that the UK has a spot on the security council while India does not.

    • @matthiuskoenig3378

The security council is about enforcing security, ie power projection. Despite being a small, declining nation, the UK still has well above average power projection, eg 2 aircraft carriers.
India has not had much power projection outside it's immidiate borders, however this has changed over the last 20 years or so, especially since 2022 with their 2nd aircraft carrier. India almost certianly has better power projection potential than the UK.

India contributed very little to the world and isn't that important.
The UK earned it's spot. It built the modern world, won two big world wars and has contributed a lot in terms of globalisation and international security.
Having a big population isn't a good reason for being a permanent security council member.

I am Chinese and I 200% support India's inclusion as a UNSC permanent member. It is fair - India is the other 1.4 billion country that isn't represented. I am not sure what is the current thinking in China's government. I had assumed that it wants to settle the border issue first, along the lines that China settled it with Russia, and then support India. But I have no idea. There has to be a re-distribution of power at the UN to be fair to everyone. I had also long thought that someone from Latin America, the Muslim world and sub-Saharan Africa should also get UNSC permanent seats to represent the interests of those regions that are under-represented.

But China till now was vetoing this decision. So this announcement tells me maybe 5% chance that China changed its stance now, but the real test will be when this goes up for vote at UN because China can always veto at the 11th hour after paying lip service.

It will sadly happen in a snap event. USA has been bankrupt for over 30 years and kept kicking the can down the road. During this time it has been rooted out from within. Every institution long infiltrated because they were all founded by the infiltrators. America was an idea and it was under attack and under siege from the very beginning by Vatican, ancient bloodlines, bankers and every host of debased morality and corrupted and corruptible actors. It is a crime state, and it is an evil state strayed from every founding principal generations before any of us were conceived. America of 1776 has no resemblance with today, only because it has been meticulously, patiently, and very concertedly infiltrated and decayed so slowly and cunningly nearly no one recognized it happening, and once our founders were gone, noone left understood the experiment anymore. It only took 3 generations and without grasping it, the experiment was over, killed by 1860. One day the world will look at our school books and see how badly we've all been lied to, on every topic presented and taught. Europe, too. You cannot have either common sense or logic, if everything in your mind and your heart is a lie accepted as solid truth. If would we all go back and look at what we were taught in detail we would be silenced into dumbfoundedness no generation before has ever known existed or was possible. When people question me, i simply say, "what part of, everything you were ever taught at home, in school or through society was a lie and I mean EVERYTHING."

The Western Media delivery of an image of rivalry between China and India,
