A SITREP is not pointless from the point of view of the public trying to understand the war, only from the point of view of military commanders, who have their own fresh intelligence and reconnaissance reports anyway. It is the difference between a feature article or review and a breaking news 'sound bite'. Most people who use your channel will not necessarily be sitting on here waiting for the immediate breaking news. They have other activities in life, but what they do want is to visit here regularly to get an understanding of where the war is going. For this purpose your SITREPs are valuable. Also remember two other things: 1) It is long-term strategic factors which will probably determine the outcome of this war, not events on a tactical timescale. This war is not going to be lost or won over night. 2) The value of your channel as a historical document, for people in the future wanting to look back and learn about what happened in the war will care nothing about the up to the minute but unreliable info, and care more for the settled and well-established reviews of what has been found to have actually happened as the fog of war clears.
Good point about going emotional. Made me reflect a bit, on a whole other topic.

Perhaps distances would keep us viewers at a healthy distance from the epic developments that many mappers promise us! For example, the Nevelske salient is 6-8 km wide, a soldier can walk it in half a day. I would certainly do not take a ride with so many FPV drones around.

Why won’t TH-cam let me watch these videos back to back, Chronologically? I can watch a lot of other channels when the video is over they give me another one. This channel TH-cam constantly without fails sends me to another channel instead of giving me the next DPA.

Thanks for reminding viewers that we are only seeing a snapshot of the conflict with published videos. Eg. judging the situation solely on drone strikes is a big mistake. Despite their wide use, they are not as effective as artillery and FAB bombs in changing the outcome of this conflict.

Fog! I thought conclusions is talking about the big picture... As an example, discussing why it makes more sense for RU to prioritise Kurakhovo over Pokrovsk. Or not!
Потому что русским выгоднее взять Курахово, тем самым обрушить весь юго-восточный фланг всу. Высвободить силы, которые сражаются на этом направлении и только тогда перейти к атакам Покровска. Если сделать наоборот, то даже взяв Покровск, любое продвижение русских будет сопряжено с угрозой фланговых ударов и опасной логистикой.
I do not have all the facts obviously my friend, but it seems like RUAF are still extending the front line; they are not in a great hurry to liberate the Kurakhove /Курахове direction. They went for Ukrains'k/Українськ , they now fight in Lysivka/Лисівка and Krutyi Yar/Крутий Яр instead of progressing *faster(prioritising)* Kurakhivka/Курахівка... By the way, do you believe RUAF are actually to encircle AFU ? Do they want to imprison some of the enemy or are they happy to get them moved in other directions? @@ВалентинПузыня

В районе Покровска русские будут давить и по возможности улучшать позиции. Но основные усилия приложат именно на юго-востоке... Угледар, Курахово, Великая Новоселовка... Ну и перед штурмом Покровска нужно взять Селидово(возможно даже до Курахово) это позволит осуществить более глубокий охват. А тат... фронт всу трещит по швам... может лопнуть в любом месте...
@@ВалентинПузыня I think Selidovo needs to be liberated either way, before going north or even south! you do not want a lot of AFU hiding there. But we recently had a "bursting at the seems moment", RUAF were marching westwards fast while a lot of AUF were playing hide and seek in Kursk. So when it happened(we were expecting it), it seems like RUAF were not quite prepared for it: the supply channels were not quite there yet.

8:50 TOS 2 is already at work, less rockets but longer range of 10 instead of 6 km for the TOS 1, which is still a dangerous zone to operate from. The spread at impact, though smaller of course is denser, enough to unalive everything on ground 0. The accuracy seems also upgraded, they are also significantly more expensive. Hence if you can bring the old TOS 1 close enough, it's still worth working with.
