  • The Honda City has been India's most beloved sedan since it entered out market. It started out life with premium features and a powerful engines like found in the Honda City Type 2 VTEC variant. Over the years, Honda went down a much more economical and comfort oriented route but now the sporty Honda City is back. This Honda City ZX Manual is an absolute joy to hoon around in. With its 1.5 Litre NA 4-Cylinder DOHC motor, it actually is a stiff competitor in the world of new gen sedans even without a turbocharger. It goes against cars like the new Skoda Rapid, VW Vento TSI and Hyundai Verna. Watch the video to find out more!

    Nice review, buddy. Almost thought this was a sponsored video given your enthusiasm reviewing the car, until you mentioned you’re a fan of the Skoda.
    Albeit, refreshing review that’s not overtly jazzed with cinematic effects or didn’t sound too geeky.
    The City is the most balanced car across segments in the India market till the 25 lakhs price range.
    Yes it’s not the best in any aspect, but it hits what I’d call the ‘acoustic sweet spot’.
    Efficiency, refinement, and comfort. Be it driving comfort or rear seat comfort. It’s the best in its class.
    Not the most loud infotainment system that makes you go woah, but for a buyer who’s looking at something that feels elegant, premium and has the right bells and whistles, this car takes the cake in its dashboard design and infotainment features.
    It also comes with the best boot space (till 2022 March), that no car in the sedan or compact SUV segment can match.
    Softer suspensions mean, better riding comfort .
    Now, it’s got its cons. But nothing that’s a deal breaker to be honest.
    Yes the camera clarity and display quality could have been better given how expensive this car is In a market that largely sells cars below the price range of 11 lakhs INR. The top trim costs a whopping 17.5 lakhs on-road, where I live. But it’s worth the money if you’re looking for a long term car that’s potent, luxurious and highly reliable.
    That’s my take. For people reading this, if there is one car you should buy and your budget is within 20 lakhs, then look no further than this wonderful car.

    Wanted to Know 2 Points - How Planted the Car is Compared with VW Cars in Highways and Is the Build Quality too inferior compared to VW Cars ........ After driving VW Car for few Years , Upgrading to this has chances of Regret ??

    • @TheDriversHub
      @TheDriversHub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Soumya, compared to VWs on the highway, it surely doesn't seem as planted but we can guarantee you that you wouldn't be disappointed by the high-speed stability it has. If you're upgrading from something like the old Polo/Vento it will surely be upgrade and keep you happy for 3-4 years easily. You surely won't regret it!

    • @soumyabaksi
      @soumyabaksi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Drivers Hub Thanks a Lot for your Reply . Was Thinking of Upgrading from Polo 2013 Highline Plus Petrol , Planted Drive in Highways and Build Quality is adding to Confusion and not allowing to take a Clear Decision 😊

    • @pranavp386
      @pranavp386 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@soumyabaksi You won't get the same feeling of stability over high speeds. Percieved build quality of a German car is always better.
      But the Honda will accelerate quicker, understeer far less and will turn on tight roads much better.

    Is TSI better than i-vtec?

    • @TheDriversHub
      @TheDriversHub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on how you look at it. The TSI will be better for acceleration and performance in general compared to i-VTEC since it is turbocharged. The i-VTEC engines are more reliable and give better fuel economy. It really depends on how you look at it. But this new 1.5 i-VTEC from Honda is truly a great engine and does great in the performance front as well.

  • @AmanVerma0272

    • @TheDriversHub
      @TheDriversHub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes they look small but they actually aren't, in fact, the ones you see in the video are 16 inches. They look small because of the wheel arch gap is big enough to fit your leg. 😫 Can't wait to see people lowering the car with nice 17-18 inch wheels 🤩

    • @avishekrath
      @avishekrath 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheDriversHub Thanks for your response. I still disagree. Unsure if you had a VW with a shot steering rack. You're spot on the P&S part for the VW and I do decent highway munching on a Vento 1.6 Tdi (remapped to 140bhp and 320nm torque) and a City. I definitely will give the City full marks for the N.A engine, but not steering, even on Michelins :-)

      They are also very outdated in terms of safety. The last time a polo was crash tested was around 2011 and scored 5 stars then. A maruti Swift scored 5 stars during that time. There's a good chance that by today's ncap standards that polo will also have pretty poor saftey ratings.
