I was just in Glacier, only for a day though, early this June. Unfortunately the going-to-the-sun road hadn't completely opened up, but that means I'll have something new to see&explore for when I return!
Absolutely beautiful video. The sharpest video I have ever seen on you tube. What do you shoot with? Amazing. Thanks. Going next year. Did you go up to Many Hotel?
Thank you so much!! I used a gopro hero 8 mounted to the hood of my car. you're going to have the trip of a lifetime, such an incredible place, totally wish i had more time there. Most of the east side of the park was closed in 2020 and i wasn't able to access that area of the park, at least from my car.
We went in mid-October. The full road was closed. BUT we did some amazing hikes: Saint Mary/Virginia Falls and Avalanche Lake. The forest fires (a natural event) made it better…better views and seeing nature replenish itself.
Too bad you didn’t get to drive it, a lot depends on how the weather is that year. Avalanche Lake hike is amazing! Next time you’re in the park, check out Bowman Lake. It’s a little off the beaten path but it’s truly a beautiful site.
I was there about twenty-five years ago. One of my favorite places in the world, and the video does not do the beauty justice. No offense to the videographer. Even the best could not truly capture the beauty.
👵 Son, I'm hoping you already know this, but if you don't, please absorb and retain forever the following fact: Stanley Kubrick chose this very highway for the shooting of the VW Beetle's drive up to The Overlook Hotel in "The Shining." Don't be scared. The real-life haunted hotel that King wrote about is The Stanley, and it's way down in Estes Park, CO. If you're anywhere near anything Kubrick ever did, you do the thankful two-fingered double-tap onto your lips, then onto your chest. And with your driving gloves on. Or you could kiss your fingers and spread them good-luck kooties onto the visor real quick, if you're in a car. That ritual was standard safe-driving practice for 1970s-era motorists passing through any yellow-'bout-to-turn-red light. Thanks sincerely for this video. I get dizzy at about 600ft above sea level. You're doin' my travelin' for me. 😺
This is my next spot to see. Hopefully the weather still nice during September.
Love all the waterfalls.
There are countless waterfalls everywhere in the park.
Beautiful Video!! Thanks for sharing with us! 😊
Great video! What kind of camera did you use? The clarity is outstanding.
Thank you! I used a GoPro Hero 8

Great attitude! It will be there waiting for you when you return. I can’t wait to go back myself!

Great video. Was the camera on a suction cup mount on the hood of the vehicle?
Thank you! Yes exactly. I used a GoPro and their suction mount to the hood of my car.
@@goinhigher So cool. Going to try the same run in a few weeks. Planning on the suction cup method, myself.
@@goinhigher One more question, if you have a chance. Were you using the Wide setting or Superwide?
In this video I was using super wide
Very nice vid...doing this in September! What time of year did you make this trip?
Thank you! I filmed this in mid July of 2020
Take your winter cloths if you are going in September. Ha, ha, ha! Best drive in the world. Oh yeah, watch out for the Grizzlies too!
@@TheHunTwo yes, we are planning on taking warm clothes. As far as grizzlies, just gotta outrun the slowest one in our group! (lol).

None taken! No camera can capture the beauty of such an amazing place. Has to been seen in person.
The Shining anyone?
Serious shining vibes haha 😆
Pieces of the intro filmed here
