I didn't work off of any plans. I just built it as I went!
You could do it too~

This is so neat to see. I used to own that camper top. My wife and I spent many weeks in it traveling the country. We spent up to 3 weeks at a time camping in it. I recognize the stickers on it. Hope it brings you as much happiness as it did us.
That is so cool. To see your camper top like that, in a video
Your so friggin talented
Amazing
You mean this actual camper top was yours?!? How cool!! 🤩
It's nice you let us no some of the history of camper top. It makes me want to watch video from start to finish. Thank you
“It ain’t perfect.” Exactly the attitude to go with. I love how you’re smiling throughout the whole process. Thrifty, ingenious, and resourceful build!!
Exactly. Perfection is for brain scientists and rocket surgeons.
Bubble wrap insulation? Shouldn't that be reflectix
"Bubble wrap" insulation...shouldn't this be reflecting instead?
@@jamesconner8374 Reflectix is the brand name. It’s like Kleenex vs facial tissue at this point 😉
Better done than perfect!
This is the first thing that made me smile today. You are AMAZING, Brooke. Your videos remind me that there are always things to be happy about; you're so positive. Beautiful build; such a surprise. Can't wait to see where you take us!
thanks much Susan!
I’m smiling too😃
Please make some more
I love it so much please make some more please
Your world map went out of date about 9 days ago
You are so naturally engaging. I don’t know what made me click on this but I’m having lots of fun seeing how hard you work and figure out problems along the way.
Im enjoying this again and " I LOVE Lucy" jumped into my brain. I just knew you were going to yell, " Ethel!, Come help me before Ricky gets home!! You certainly have the I CAN DO IT attitude down pat and you really do. Thanks Brooke
Wonderful. WHERE you get your energy is beyond me!
Brooke you can take 1/2 pipe foam insulation and run it around the outside of your doorway assembly. It will fill gaps and seal it up.
It's like a pool noodles kind of stuff and is very forgiving and easy to work with.
Be Blessed
Yes, I have used that pipe foam insulation for so many things. But Brooke is right, if using a Buddie heater, need air from outside for it to be safe.
That's a great idea since it would keep bugs out too. She can crack open the windows for air and one should always have a carbon monoxide alarm when using a heater for those small places.
Oh, there'll be plenty of air seeping into that 'cabin' .... the noodles are good! 👍
@@carlaifera5254 I even use them around the handlebars and metal parts on my bicycle when transporting it on the back of my car to protect it. Also, I had banging pipes in my basement and put that pipe insulation like pool noodles with a slit in the side on them and they stopped! Definitly off topic here, sorry! Also good on frozen door handles if you aren't wearing gloves:)
Thinkin same, bugs find their way in unless sealing is optimum.
This is adorable! How can you take something so utilitarian and make it so cozy?! Love your cabin build too. Wishing you safe travels and God's blessing!!
thanks much!
She has “magic eyes”. Her visions are impeccable.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
I appreciate all your trial and errors. You show us how normal it is to be frustrated doing jobs like this. You're really an amazing person.
I agree with you so much
Thank you, for including every mistake made. This is truly one of the most educational videos I've seen on rebuilds. Oh my God… I can do this!
Yes you can!👍🏻🛠️
Your intro of the finished product followed by the “how I built it “ was excellent. The use of the canvas for the ceiling was perfect. I really love you use of natural colored products. Such a cozy nest for road trips in comfort. Being outside certainly makes me happy!
Awesome, thank you!
When the lumber costs more than the topper LOL. This looks fantastic Brooke. Love it
lol totally
You are definitely a inspiration to all women that we can do anything we set our minds to. Great job and looking forward to videos of your road trip.❤️Stay safe my friend.
Thank you so much!
debbie,
Your comment implies females are incompetent, but this is an anomaly.
STOP THE HATE.
@@largemarge1603 by no means did I mean that women are incompetent you took that way out of context.
Yessss
@@largemarge1603 I didn't get that feeling from her comment. Hmmm
I can’t believe she’s doing that while exposed to super low temperatures! I want to be like her and do the work she does, but I can’t sacrifice my body to extreme temperatures! She’s brave and I love her personality!
Girl! This is the tiniest and coziest camping truck I've seen. It's so convenient because it fits in any road and parking spot. Congratulations.
Hey girl! It's so nice to see chics like us that know what they are doing using machinery actually being constructive lol! What you did here is simply badass!
love it
The drop cloth idea is so cool.
Cozy, comfy and really elegant. I love the natural colors of the wood the canvas and greenery. The fur, candles and lights add such a lovely feeling . I love you and your channel! I look forward to all your videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
We've been wanting to turn our Jeep into a camper for months. We stumbled across your video and realized we already had the exact same futon at home and it fits! Thank you for the inspiration! :)
I love that you show the truth of immense frustrations of doing projects by yourself! And also show the truth of the immense satisfaction once done......of doing a project by yourself!!!!
This is ridiculously fantastic. I can't believe how you did this. Really special. I love, love the entire thing. You go girl!!
We bought a cargo van and converted it to a great camper 3 years ago. I love how you show the reality of the struggle in a build. My hubby worked a year and it's our second home. So glad to see another video. We bing watch you and Dave.
awesome!
I just love your "CAN DO, I'LL FIGURE IT OUT" attitude Brooke!🤗 That is just beautiful, I want to just step in there, lock up and stay at least a month and shut the whole world out, aaaahhh would be soooo nice!🥰 I live my dreams through you!😘
better take it somewhere warmer :)
This is really something! I’ve been searching for many weeks on camper builds that have a door like entrance but also that can keep the tailgate. I’m so glad I found your video. I loved your project. It’s inspiring for me to do something similar.
I cannot EVEN tell you how much I love this! The video, the process, the frustration, the non-cussing (I'd have plenty of f-bombs flying), the finished product. How I'd love to buy you a beer (or beverage of choice) and just sit with you a while!!!
Me too! I've been looking at so many different kind of vans, build-outs etc. I kept wanting to have something that was practical too where I could use it for hauling & regular use. This seems to be the most perfect vehicle & solution.
Leinie's Summer Shandy is a favorite of hers. 😉
Now this build was a really pleasant surprise! I'm excited to see your test drive. Thanks Girl, for another fun vid.
I am NOT crafty so watching you Brooke is fascinating. You have an amazing talent. Thank you for sharing!
I am so amazed and inspired by your ability to turn such small spaces into the most cozy, comfy and homey little rooms. You are so talented.
Hi 👋 dear, how are you doing?
Watch you and Dave is great. Its almost therapy. I love the outdoors as much as you two. If I can't be in nature, you and Dave get me there!👍
this is the most real example of someone getting something done and learning as you go. great job!
Seeing you do this is really inspiring.
I watched every minute of it. 😊
You are incredible! I love how you conquer these things I wouldn't even think of, and make it look attemptable!
Great job, Brook. I agreed with you on the painter canvas, good choice. Funny thing, I bought the same futon from Walmart for my remote cabin, it's not very comfortable so, I bought a body pillow and put a throw over it. That futon in Wasilla costs $245. What I would have done is, have someone help take the topper off and do the work upside down, I hate working over my head, it is so uncomfortable. I like the idea of the map and the table. Anyway, you did a fine job and it will be fun on trips.
thanks john!
Great idea to take the topper off and do it upside down! I have a torn rotator cuff and a bad neck and working overhead is painful if I can even do it!
All I can say is you are incredible! I love your skills, but also your sense of adventure and figuring it out as you go. How fun, and what a result! Congratulations on everything!
I have to tell you how inspirational this video is. You don't just say "and then I tacked it to the ceiling". I'm 61 and just beginning to explore what I can do on my own. It's helpful to see someone who says "It isn't easy to do alone but I did it, and did it well." I laughed so hard in sympathy then applauded when you made such a beautiful space with just your ideas and hard work. May you and your pets have many happy trips!
You’re something else, Brooke! There’s nothing you can’t do. Man, that’s a cozy, beautiful, camper!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️
Oh thank you!
This is beautiful. The couch is such a great idea. Even sleeping with that back up would keep you warmer I would think. Can't wait to watch your new adventures. Thanks Brooke
thanks RW
You make this look EZ. Love the results. A great way to travel to your next adventure 😎. Thanks for bringing us along 🙋
You always make me smile. I love your tiny, cozy home on wheels you built all by yourself. I admire your knowledge and determination. Awesome build, you go girl in the woods!
I really love the way you've got that wall with the double door on the back with the plants under the window and all...... It is the 1st set up I've seen like this and I have been watching these videos for over a year...
You keep saying, "it ain't perfect," but I think you've done a fantastic job! And you've given me some great ideas for my canopy build. So... thank you!
I love this build! The structure, decor, everything! I have a canopy on my truck with a build inside. I went with a sleeping platform in mine, but I've been thinking about swapping that part out for a cot because as you said, i want to use my truck as a truck. I did make the platform and cabinets easy to take out, but i like how you set yours up better than i did mine lol. And those doors are great! I can't wait to see you camp in it.
I love it! I do everything by myself including renovating my home, and sometimes I get frustrated. I could use a second pair of hands. Well done! You inspire me.
Brook, Thank you sooo much for shoeing me how you did all this!!! I too really enjoy Canvas. I recently bought Paonter's Canvas b4 I had watched this!

Woman with POWER and power tools!!! Love love love it!
I learned a lot by watching you renovate that little space in your truck! It looks like it was a lot of work, but it looks fun! Great job! 👌
Love the build out.
But for me, I would have to/need to have a way to get from the back into the cab without having to go outside. (Sort of like a sliding panel between the two.)
You never know when a situation comes up and you have to leave quickly and safely without having to go outside of your vehicle.
I agree
Good idea 💡
You're right. Mostly for a woman traveling alone.
Like wise
@@esval3054 Never assume women cannot defend themselves. Take a martial arts class AND buy a weapon.
Brooke you're amazing. I always get super inspired by your builds and this little truck house is gorgeous. 🌟👏
The doors you added with the RV windows just make it so sweet...not a rough camper.
What a great project. You turned an empty little space into a homey woman's cave. I was really impressed with how you did the ceiling with the canvas - very professional looking! You made your space so spiritual, IMO. Great job!! Happy trails in your truck.
My ex is a finished carpenter and cabinet maker. I lived in the carpentry lifestyle “ of his for over 25 years (I was a nurse, then home healthcare.) and I’m at least familiar with the work you’re doing as well as the tools. To be fair he’s METICULOUS carpenter BUT I gotta say your work would rival his any day! Very inspiring! Well done!! 😊👍🏻
Thank you
Great job on the camper build! I really like what you did on the roof inside. And I love the rear doors. I had previously told my friend he should do that to his truck. Enjoy watching your Channel.
This is gorgeous! You have a wonderful ability to take simple and make it elegant! I love that you let us see your struggles while you build. It gives confidence that we can do it too. 🌺
What a delight to watch you translate an idea to reality ! Clever woman !!!
Stay safe , well and fearless !
Aww Brooke, looks so awesome 👌 tat is beautiful, enjoy
Beautiful yet simple transformation. Nicely done. I especially like the doors.
This is such a simple, beautiful build! Love canvas drop cloths. I made no-sew curtains out of them for my whole house.
I bet it looks gorgeous ❤
What an amazing transformation! You are truly gifted in your creations and design. It is really lovely and I am sure you will have a great time in there. :) Thanks for sharing this experience. It was fun to watch!
I’ve been watching your videos everyday; fantastic, you reminded me of my youth living in Sawyer Michigan at that time. I had two older brothers; one built tree house with a pulley that ran across a bridge to a small cabin which he built; he was fourteen. I learned so much from him; it gave me the drive to build, create outside the box. My brother died two years ago ; he died of cancer however his drinking problem encouraged the cancer. God bless.
This is fantastic! It reminds me of a safari tent. Really lovely.
Hi Brook, I did something similar back in the 80's for fishing at Tippy Dam. You come up with great ideas.
Always happy to see Girl in the Woods!!🤗🥰 I love how you just jump in feet first to a project...your fixes are so great❤️👏👏👏 Looking forward to joining you on your continuing adventures💜🌈 Stay safe, be well and see ya next time👋👋
Thank you! 😊
I simply love your glamper, Brooke. I love watching the process of it coming together and your thoughts on how to make it happen. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Stay safe:)
Thank you so much!
My husband and I just got done watching the season of alone lost and found that you and your husband were on. You guys built the most amazing shelter. I just randomly ran across your channel, seen your face and recognized you.
I think our truck is soooo perfect. Nothing fancy just cozy and perfect.
Perfect timing! I was just watching a few truck camper slide in vids and then I got this from you! Thanks for helping me decide on this route! So much more economical. You and Dave always have something cool going.
Right on!
You’re just brilliant, Brooke! Now enjoy the fruits of your labour. Have a fun and safe trip 🚐 ⛰ 🌳 🌲 xx
This totally reminds me of when I converted my old van into a living space! Great ideas for materials and I love that bench. I would be concerned about not closing the outer back doors at night but it sure looks nice.
it locks
That’s freakin’ awesome, Brooke!!👏 I’m a camper too, but I’m a fair weather camper..haha Have a blast! You absolutely did an incredible job on this build! Enjoy, and God Bless! 🙏🏼⛺️🔥👍
thanks!
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TO SEE A CAMPER BUILD LIKE THIS. IT'S UNIQUE. 💯✔️❤️🥇🏆
This is really the best truck camperbuild iv'e seen .
You are soooo inspiring ! You make me want to build something. Your truck camper turned out so gorgeous!!! You rock !!
Brooke, you never seem to amaze me with your builds!! You are such an inspiration to me. I love watching your creations. You give me so much hope that one day I will be able to do that. I love everything about the build. The flower box is the perfect touch to it. Your amazing woman!! Love you girl ❤️
Hi Brooke it's Linda from Norristown PA. You are amazing! Love all your builds and projects! I would love to have your life! You and Dave are my kind of a people! You make me smile Brooke because you are so positive! Love you woman!
Thank you so much!!
Do you mean she never ceases to amaze you?
This is over the top ! How inspiring. A wealth of ideas for my truck topper. Thank you for sharing. Good Vibes 👣
You're an inspiration to women! Not to mention that you're cute too! I was drawn to you after watching your husband and some of his builds. Y'all got a great combo going on! Well done! I love the topper idea. I had a topper on my last truck, but not my current one. The ideas are brewing with help from you & your hubby.
I love that flower box. Makes your camper different.
Great job Brooke:) I built 5 Teardrop Campers, starting with just a utility trailer frame (On my Channel). My Builds were very popular on TH-cam. You did a great job:) Have a great weekend.
~Kevin
cool!!!
Kevin, THIS is what a real TH-cam channel looks like. Hope you took Jerry's comment to heart in "Show Kevin the Money."
That looks really nice Brooke. However, you misspoke. The purpose of tempered glass is to shatter into many small pieces. One is less likely to suffer long deep cuts when all the pieces are so small.
Finally a truck camper build that I love !! Was going to buy a very expense pop up camper shell, but decided to go on the budget build. You have given me much inspiration !! Can I ask where you got your map from ? Really love your build !
I love what did here. You didn't overdo the stuff you put in there and I like that you kept it removable. I liked seeing your frustration and overcoming it. And the cold. Brrr. Definitely difficult to work over your head. And time on my knees would be a problem but you have been an inspiration. Thanks.
Ur energy & zest for life is infectious.
the contrast between your effort you put in your space and the finished result being such a beautifully simple design is something I appreciate on both ends, it came out so so so great! I hope you are enjoying it, you made it look easy but Im sure it was quite a challenge
Out of all of your builds, this my favorite, so much fun! So creative!
I'm just seeing this. Wow! Take a big bow, lady. And you did it in winter. I bet you could conquer anything you set your mind too. Best wishes and stay safe.
Brooke, I happened to just stumble across one of your videos. This was the -17 below night. Your video and I am sure others are just as wonderful. I am hooked. Your thanking the Lord for all you have is awesome. Thank you. ❤️
Came out BEAUTIFUL!!!! And so cozy!
Pretty back too with the windows, WOW!
Good job, well done. It feels so inviting.
Thnx for sharing. You're amazing!!! 👏🏿💖
i love the sawdust toilet and would definitely do that. no fuss, no muss, done. beautiful and functional build!
I admire you for what you do. I couldn't do it so I respect you for being able to. Wow! I'm a lifelong Southerner and would not be able to handle such temperatures. But it's beautiful to see. TFS.
OH EM GEE!
SO BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💖
I just love how warts and all your videos are, so down to earth and REAL complete with the trial and error and frustrations. You keep it human Brooke and I love that about your videos. Beautiful job. Happy travelling!
Really like the simple build! Functional, simple and cute!💓
Amazing young lady….so many obstacles, but she shows what a lady with determination can do. Safe travels.
You don't have an idea how much I admire your work. I've been wanting to do this and alone is so hard but 👍🏽 thanks for the encouragement by act not words 🙏🏽
That's brilliant Brooke. Amazing job. Real home from home.
Its super cute and I like that everything can be removed if needed! Really smart. Great job!
Very cool. I like the fake plants too. It brightens everything up.
I found this video really refreshing. I liked the clumsy moments yet you know your way around tools and make something so comfy looking. I like that the furniture is removable so that you don't lose the use of your truck bed.
You’re one amazing lady!!!
👏👏👍👏👏
You very handy with those tools Brooke. The truck looks lovely and you have made it very cozy. Have a safe trip.
Three suggestions...1. Put a 2.0 cu. in. mini fridge in the other lower space in the cabinet by the back hatch so you can keep perishable snacks and maybe water. 1. Tint your windows because there are lots of big gaps that someone who may be snooping around can't see inside. 3. Put a pass thru window in behind the driver's seat so that you can get to the cab in case of an emergency...ie there are creepers trying to get in and you can get out of the area quickly. Female solo travelers are the biggest targets. So many videos out there about it which makes me scared to try this myself. A pass thru is the first thing I think about when looking for something to call home on the road. Anyway , nice, cozy build! I like the pull down map, the lights, the rug...everything! Good luck on your travels!
Love the build and the reality of ups and downs along the way! Keeping it real 💗
