Jerseys back them were awesome. Block letters and numbers, solid colors with no busy lines and adult sized shoulder pads.
Only won 3 games that season, but this was a win for the ages

I recall watching the game live. I had half a dozen friends over for MNF party. We were celebrating big time at the end! What a terrific win for our Browns!

@@commonsense6534Nothing is worse than the Drive except for the 2016 World series series loss. Cavs winning the 2016finals and Ohio State winning the 2002 and 2014 championship the best moments.
Unbelievable that the Browns won this game, especially being down two scores, ( 9 points ) under 6 minutes left.

Great Game...I like how the schedule works, the division champs of previous year all get to play eachother. You play all 4 teams of one of the other divisions; AND the only 2 games that depend on last year, against the other 2 division teams that finished in the same divisional rank as you, means #1 always plays #1. So; There's always a few playoff rematches, unless both wildcards rolled up all 4 division champs, preventing them from playing eachother, all the way to a wildcard Vs Wildcard Conf championship. In 1989, the Broncos blew out the Browns in the AFC Championship, after the Browns beat a tough Bills team on the rise in divisional round.
Still take Al Michaels over Joe Buck.

Not a Browns fan but they ran a very nice Flea Flicker for a TD at 42:45

I love your knowledge of Humphreys last 100 yard game Zen. Humphrey was interesting how he had two 1000 yard seasons back to back then the Broncos traded him to Miami midway into a hold out I think? After about 400 rushing yards in Miami I think his career was over? Two very good seasons and then BOOM ITS OVER !!
Who would've believed at the time that this was Bobby Humphrey's last 100-yard game? At the moment we're watching one of the best backs in the NFL, but in reality he was on his way to vanishing, and Gaston Green was Denver's 1991 1,000 yd back.
Can't believe 32 years ago
Even when I was little the Browns never could get a consistent offensive line. The difference between the '89 and '90 lines was stunning. They had a lot of issues with holdouts, bad trades, injuries and bad luck that year. We had traded Baab to NE in '88 and got him back in '90 at center just to stabilize the ship! 13:15 and at 14:04 are two great graphics that explain this.
Haven’t gotten to Halftime yet , so I don’t know if it’s included on this upload , but this is when they first featured Steve Atwater’s “MIC’D UP” Segment versus the Chiefs and specifically Christian Okoye.
That game had been 2 weeks before on MNF.
Life was good for the Broncos , but not for long at all as it was all about to fall apart.
2 MNF games in 1st weeks. Especially impressive when you consider that in this era , more than a few teams ( ex Bucs, Cards, Saints etc ) probably went stretches of many years without a MNF appearance.
Denver always got taken care of thx to Elway.
Also ( & I distinctly remember both this game and this subplot ) Bobby Humphrey leading the league in Rushing here , despite having played 1 less game than everyone else. He still held League Lead even after all of the Sunday Games.
This would be his last 100 yd game of the year & sadly, now that I think of it .... not only his last ever Broncos 100yd game , but the last one of his entire career.
That would’ve sounded crazy to me if someone told me that then. And it’s not even to do with injury .
He would still run for 1200 yds this year and have a few more games of close to or slightly above 90 yds.
Bobby Humphrey was such a revelation after many years of Sammy Winder level play ( not terrible but not great either - 3 yds and a cloud of dust ).
He seemed to be for Denver & Elway what TD would actually be ( TD being the Max Peak level version for 4 years ).
They tease it at about 36:50 .

One of the few highlights for the 1990 Browns. They went 3-13 that year and Bud Carson got flushed down the shitter by Art Modell halfway through the season. Did I ever tell you about the time I went around a left-open hallway gate in Lakeland Community College in the summer of 1989 when I was a student there, trying to get to the Pepsi machine, and I found myself face to neck (I'm not so tall) with a pissed off Bud Carson during the time the Browns held their training camp there? I made it to class, but no Pepsi for me.

Bad season for the Brown's, but they still had flashes of greatness. Not any more.

Until Dec. 15, 2018. Mayfield was the right choice at QB. I was more or less gung-ho about the Browns getting Sam Darnold at No. 1 heading into last spring's draft, and I'm not even a Browns fan.
@@drewzuhosky6826 Darnold is struggling with the Jets because he is homesick. He spent his entire pre-NFL life in the LA area, including playing for USC. And NYC is much different from LA. The Jets are likely going to pick a QB in the first round next year, so this would be a perfect opportunity for Darnold to return home as a Charger. Maybe that is what he needs to be great, is playing for his hometown team.
@@LogoAttitude He "SUCKS" because he's homesick...What an original excuse for Sam Darnold's failure. The Chargers have a quarterback, The Rams have Stafford but Darnold could develop behind Stafford while the Rams realize that Matt Stafford isn't the answer.

A FEW YEARS LATER, BUT COOL NONE THE LESS MY MAN ....
Until 2018, this was the only time the Browns beat the Broncos in my lifetime. They notably lost twice to Broncos teams led by Peyton Manning, a QB the Browns were never able to beat (and who I wanted to join the Browns at one point), including in 2015 where the Broncos won the Super Bowl, but have not been back to the playoffs since.
Michael Dean Perry played for the Broncos in 1995-1997.
When cleveland has their worst offensive line in kosar era, denver couldn't pressure him.
Kosar rebounded somewhat in 1991 but he was never the same after the 90 season
