I guess Yuzu's love and respect for Shoma and Yuma comes from the treatment he got from his seniors and he makes sure his juniors never get to feel that 👏👏👏
This was exactly what I thought too. He is a genuinely sensitive and kind person and knowing full well how bad was it for him, he makes a lot of effort to prevent that for the next generation. Probably hoping they will follow his path too. 🤞

For example, Daisuke Takashi who was Yuzuru's senpai and very popular was really nice to him but I believe many Daisuke fans hated his early success and made him cry. Then Yuzuru was also getting a fanbase and it was more like fan wars with the athletes having nothing to do with it. Yuzuru also said that Daisuke was someone he will always look up to.
