    Please be careful frying a whole chicken, that last one was dangerously close to bubbling over and starting a grease fire. When that happens people all too often panic, and in a panic if you attempt to put it out with water you will burn down your kitchen/house. That last one should have come with a serious warning.

    It would be more helpful if at some stage there was some explanation of the reason behind marinating a chicken still stuck with a hundred toothpicks. As one other person has commented, piercing it might allow the yogurt to penetrate the flesh, but with the toothpicks in there surely you just end up with tender toothpicks?

    Why you should never cook with olive oil?
    Olive oil has a lower smoke point-the point at which an oil literally begins to smoke (olive oil's is between 365° and 420°F)-than some other oils. When you heat olive oil to its smoke point, the beneficial compounds in oil start to degrade, and potentially health-harming compounds form.

    • @sarahstrong7174
      @sarahstrong7174 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What type of oil are you going to use then? Poly-unsaturated oils such as Sunflower Oil are not safe once heated as they split into toxic aldehydes, mono-unsaturated oils including Olive oil are meant to be safer.

    • @Loj84

    • @mikkihesson3509
      @mikkihesson3509 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hmmm i think the boiling would get the heat into the chicken fast and flash frying it would keep it from losing the juices and sealing in the flavor. chicken takes so long because it has to be penetrated all the way in by heat so i dont think it would lose too much if cooked thoroughly faster. i do the same thing with seasoning injectables needles all over with bird but i never left anything inside it while cooking. could be a hit! lol

    • @raineypitre8618
      @raineypitre8618 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikkihesson3509 sorry but toothpicks and yogurt are not the same as the cajun injectors!!!! The injector shoots the marinade into the meat and stays there you only inject certain areas and it doest look like its trying out for the next hellraiser!!
