This is the Anno that got me into the entire series absolutely love 2070. Something about the world having flooded and these big megacorps taking over the little remaining land was really appealing, and fit the theme of settling islands, making it a lot more engaging. Only found the channel recently, love the content please keep it up!
As dope as 1800 is, 2070 just has a special place in my heart. Everything about it just hits so right. It was the perfect entry into the series for me.
Anno 2070 was my favorite of the series I loved 1701 the game that got me hooked. Patrician III got me hooked on sea based city builders, but over 800 hours in 2070 and still learning.
I would love for next Anno game to be a mix of 2070 "setting" and 1800 graphics and sectors. I really liked underwater island, but I was disappointed that i couldn't build cities on them. Really wished they made "Tech" faction an underwater based :(
Played so much Anno 2070, especially the Domination mode multiplayer mode - where its essentially asynchronous team vs team with specific goals/missions per area to maximize - e.g. income, or pop, or eco-rating, or trade volumes.
yay, more 2070! Is there a specific reason why you prefer to use layouts in 2070 but not in 1800? Would have loved to see your more free, beauty build approach in this game, too.
When playing tycoon it just feels more natural to have a structured layout given the nature of the faction. Everything about them just screams "efficiency" but don't worry... I can mix beauty building and efficiency together. Eco on the other hand is a different story!
@@TakaTH-cam good point about the tycoons. I still like to leave some room around official buildings for parking spaces and such. Looking forward to this series!
As far as mechanics go 2070 was simply better than 1404. What made it "not better" overall was the setting. Most people, myself included, simply prefer sails to engines. Also the colour palette was too dark in my opinion, 1404 was so lively, colourful and cheerful, that it was sheer fun to just watch your cities thrive, 2070 lacked that element. Then there's the whole Uplay connectivity issue, for 1404 I just had my CD and didn't even need an internect connection. For these reasons I consider them to be tied up to the second place, 1800 beats them all, hands down. ;-) Edit: I had Tilda Jorgensen in my every game of 2070, for the same reason I always have Bente in 1800. Neither of them increase the difficulty level, but both made the world feel more alive.
How does one connect to multiplayer with a friend? It doesn't let us connect for some reason. It just fails connection even though everything is set up fine. We live in different countries btw, idk if that has an effect.
can u make a little guide as u play? .and my be compare the mechanics to Anno 1800.I played it and the campaign was boring for me.that was as they released Anno 1800 SP3.so I left it.

Yes!! 2070 is easily my favorite... even more so than the MUCH more loved by the community 1404!
I'm the same, but with 1404. I've been a bit skeptical about futuristic games. Is this much harder vs 1404?
Hearing eve's voice gives me flashbacks and now all I can think about is: "registering environmental degradation"
Oh just wait until the second episode coming out tomorrow... You may not want to hear her voice again LMAO
Nice, loved playing Anno 2070. Great seeing this one again. This had a great mod called A.R.R.C 2170. Dumped many hours into this.
Yeah I absolutely love ARRC!! I thought about using it but I decided to go with vanilla for now!

Love this Anno game more than the other future Anno game. I hope they make another one with as much layers of features as 1800 does.
That's what i wanna hear, my pc can play this, not the other future one (or 1800 for that matter).

That would be a dream!
Check out the A.R.R.C. mod, it adds underwater cities.

Nice 👍
For your metrics!
Nice
Excited for this one.

Agree, the colour palette is draging it down
Is the music from the game as it's great
The timelapse music is by Scott Buckley.. called Theory of Machines! He does amazing work!
