Great video! I’m installing the same light fixture and did step by step over again and my light won’t turn on. So do you connect both green and copper together? Thanks
@createwithchantel I didn’t need the red wire in my setup. I just capped it. You can see that around 14:29 in the video. At 12:27 in the video you can see in the manual where there’s a note to just cap the red wire, so I just followed those directions.
Does the fan spin? Does the remote change the speeds. If yes to both of those, then the wires are correct. If you can't get the fan to spin, check the remote control and receiver to make sure they are on the same code. Once you can get the remote to turn the fan on, then simply press the light button at the lower part of the remote circle. If you hold it, it will adjust the brightness. Good luck!
Question, Instead of capping the red wire, can I wire the red with the black to be able to use the switch? or is it bad to wire three "hot" wires together. Thanks for the help!
Hey there. Thanks for watching. I just put the red wire in a wire cap by itself and used electric tape to secure it to the cap. You can see this at 14:25 of the video.
Funny, I watched this video to see how you got the slot on the hanger ball to go onto the mounting bracket properly, because it's giving me a world of trouble, and you totally skipped that part 😂 I'm going to guess that gave you the same amount of trouble huh
@@daddoesvideos apologies, it turns out that it was a manufacturer defect. I had to wideb the opening to the mount but about an 1/8 of an inch and it popped right in. Thank you for your reply, I watching like 4 other instructional videos and they all skipped that part too, I was going insane lol thanks again
I think, perhaps, that you might be thinking of a different model or fan. This one’s still available, and I don’t believe it’s 10 years old. I never returned it. It’s a good fan.
Thank you for this tutorial, I was struggling with something in step 2... you talked me through it and fan is installed great.
Awesome! Glad to hear it all worked out for you. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for the tutorial!
Sure thing! Hope it helps!

I also have a red wire, is red for power? What would that be connected too?
Yeh. Green connects to cooper or bare wire. That’s weird your fixture won’t turn on. Are you sure your other wire connections are nice and tight?

Was there a way of doing it without the downrod, I'm trying to install it flush to the ceiling
Hey. There’s no smaller down rod included. You may be able to grab a smaller one from a hardware store and use instead, perhaps.

Hey. Sorry for the delay in responding. I’d ask an electrician. I was just following the directions in the manual. Good luck!
Is there any replacement led for this fan to change the color temperature?
Hi! Not that I know of.
So what did you do with the red wire
Hey there. Thanks for watching. I just put the red wire in a wire cap by itself and used electric tape to secure it to the cap. You can see this at 14:25 of the video.

Huh. I don’t remember having an issue with that part. Are you aligning the ball so it fits into that little nub on the bracket?

@scottkoenigsmark5739 Ah, go figure! Yeh, I could not remember having any problems for the life of me! Glad it all worked out for you.
This 10 year old fan is now Discontinued you should’ve kept it
