So far in January we're at 660 subs gained - that's 66 laps of Time Trial I'll have to do... Sub now to make me do more laps!
I hate HATE that EA Loves Norris/Hamilton to RB, Verstappen to Merc, Pourchaire & Albon in a Top car, Sainz beating Leclerc while nobody likes that
Grinding 10 years of career and all you get is a listing screen back to the main menu. Can't even go back and look at it
You didn't get any secret meetings this season because you signed a 3 year contract. You only get secret meetings if it's your last year of the contract
Ah yes, that makes sense!!
20:27 I think why the AI don't develop is that I think they follow the same contract system the player does. What I mean is that the player needs 60% recognition in the team so that they can do the ultimate upgrades at the end. I think that the AI teams also have this, but none of their drivers have 60% recognition in the team. This means that none of the AI drivers can do the ultimate upgrades so they cannot develop.
Yep I think you're exactly right, bit of an oversight on EA's part
One thing you didnt notice was that engine runs cold all the time
He does actually mention that but I cut it from this, didn't seem too importand but maybe I should have kept it in in hindsight
Yea as Benjamin said, I do notice during my pitstop in Vegas and start revving the nuts off the engine, but it's impossible to keep warm
The reason that no one was upgrading and getting the ultimate upgrades was because the drivers in their line up don't have enough recognition to unlock them
They should increase the cap to 15 seasons or 14
Also its funny how they had a better contract transfer system in 2019
Or just infinite, there's no reason for the limit
@@Henrix1998 I think the reason is with retirements,at one point there wouldn't be any more replacements for drivers, since they dont do generated ones and they dumbly only include the past season's f2 grid instead of the current one
24:04 "in a straight im not that much quicker" passes 3 cars like hes in a different class
I feel like the secret will be that this game is pretty bad and none of the features are designed to work properly over 10 seasons.
We honestly just have to go back to simpler times: F1 2019. R&D changes were massive. Because smaller teams need more upgrades to be competitve they get them a bit cheaper to level out with bigger teams (since the introduction of departments bigger teams actually have a massive advatange by starting with Spec 3 factories and therefore also getting more RD points and earlier access to major upgrades) and driver changes were depending on RD performance and driver reputation.
The last point in addition to the fluctuating RD system resulting in e.g. Hamilton choosing the best team (lets say McLaren) at the end of S3 just for McLaren to fall down the order for S4 because of a rule change -> Hamilton is now stuck at a mid tier team for the entirety of S4. At least to me this system was ideal and caused some very interesting seasons.
And I mean what is this F1 24 reputation nonsense? They´re literally saying "Well neither of our drivers have 60% reputation in our team so we refuse to upgrade our car any further"
yea the reputation system is the worst thing ive ever seen. Instead of making it affect important stuff like strategy prioritization like they literally used to have, it just breaks the game since teams rely 100% on the drivers for R and D, which me personally think shouldn't be the case.
AI probably doesn't upgrade because none of them have the 60% recognition so they can't
great video to make. I think Codies and EA are trying to up engagement time with modes like F1 World. But if they just improved the long term aspects of career, with more randomness and better ai logic, plus every other thing we've been asking for for centuries, alot of would be happy playing career mode all year long (with the help of some mods too ofc)
So, about secret meetings only being with team around... in my first season in Williams , without exceeding set target and doing slightly worse than Albon, I got one from Merc and Ferrari. I feel like it might be mostly random.
May we pay our respects to the enter button
they've never had anything for finishing the 10th and final season. 2020,2021,2022,2023,2024 are the game where i went all the way to the 10th season. i assume its the same for the prior games which i wasnt able to do all 10 seasons
I would love if u started a random new career. Maybe 2 seasons??
That would explain why despite coming 2nd in the championship in a williams and rb I'd never get offers from the top teams, what a dumb system lmao
I guess the idea is you work your way up, so each season you upgrade your team. But in reality if you win the championship in a slow team while dominating your teammate, the big teams sit up and pay attention
@@AlexGillonGaming I guess its better for realism maybe, but frustrating when you're just trying to have fun, good thing f123 exists still :D
Do a season of Endless resources from a bottom team and make your way to a championship contender/winner
I will very easily win the championship in the first season, the 110 AI are just too slow on this game to make career mode fun sadly
When do we think we will get updates on F125?
I tried this as well I won the championship with sauber in S1 and no top team wanted to sign me
Have they fixed the AI? I remember it being a huge step back from 23
The 110 AI are still very much not fast enough
@ they still seem to behave very strangely too. Is my memory of the old game meaning I’m looking at it with rose tinted glasses, or is this still a step back than last year’s game?
alonso career 2.0? the alt universe version
I've ended up going back to f1 23 and starting a career with modded driver transfers/liveries. Definitely the best f1 game to drive alongside 2020, and the best f1 game to mod and have fun with. On the other side, there's no ability to mod the current game past liveries, whilst the driving and self-sufficiency of the game over a year-long life cycle is easily at its worst. F1 24 is a joke.
What team are Harrrz? :D
Allow my Devonshire accent 😭
@@AlexGillonGaming Im sorry only kidding. Love the content! Especially when you make Ben fume 🤣
Yeah, it's been a long time since there was any real change to driver career mode and this.....this was just a bit meh. It was good for a couple of weeks....then it was basically the same old same old. Considering 90% of the game is offline focused....it all needs to be far more in depth than it is.
I think they absolutely had the right ideas, the execution was just a little off
@AlexGillonGaming It depends....if they use this as a new basis for Career mode to be built around....yeah, OK I can get behind that.
If this IS the new career mode and it gets forgotten about again for the next 5 games.....then it's a huge problem.
First
That’s worthy of a life time achievement
