little know factiod about this gem of a movie. the fight choreographer was Philip Kwok, who was in the legendary kung fu movie "Five deadly Venoms" he played the lizard (walk on walls) and he did most of the fight choreography in those old Shaw Bros. epics. this movie is one of a kind!
@Nepl11 the actor, Mark Dacascos, does not practice Karate. He has trained in Northern Shaolin Kung fu, Wun Hop Quen Do, Capoeira, Wushu, Muay Thai, ... =)
i love this scene, as well as this movie. recommend it to anyoen who hasn't seen it. watch it in the original language though. english dub looses so much. ;/
can anyone help me: on the dvd there is on the main menu a song sing by a woman, thats song is also played at the end (endcredits) can anyone tell me the name and of title of the song, and is it on you tube??
I bought the movie (2 disc Director's Cut) and i really like and appreciate this movie now. I watched it when it came out and didn't like it much, maybe due the way it was marketed here. There is something that i don't understand, why monica belucci poisoned (the first time) the man and he dream she is killing him with a dagger? i didn't understand the concept there.
It's been a while since I've seen the movie, so I may be wrong, but... She poisoned him more or less just for fun. Or, more precisely, she wanted him to know that she wasn't to be messed with. She wasn't just some hooker, she was dangerous and he had to take her seriously. And the dream I never quite got. I think that was his intuition telling him that something bad is going to happen, that he might die, and that she was involved in it. And that was true.
