Ahhhh man this was SOOOOO good!!!! This is another Cure song that I've heard before but not in a long time. I love how laid-back and subtle the bassline is. It adds so much pulse to the song and it's literally the heartbeat of the song!!! Just guiding and leading. And another thing... the horns are an absolutely stunning addition to the song. I love that New Orleans jazz kinda vibe they provide. Fantastic cover, Thom. I really, really enjoyed this and you know what? It's time to hit that replay button!!! BASS ON!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much Dani. I agree, the bass is like a heartbeat! Nice analogy. Yeah, the horns make this song so much better. They are only on the Single Version, not on the album version. That's why I chose this one. Thanks for watching, and watching again. BASS ON!!!
Thank you Sean! Yeah, one of my favorites from The Cure. Such a great feel to this one. And I love the horns added on this single version. Thanks for the comment and support! It's appreciated.
What a great old Cure tune and that bass line makes it a top tune from the eighties. Gallup is a bass genius! But where oh where is that sweet young precision pro2? Top playing Thomas you were right on the money for this one and you nailed the warm tone perfectly!!! Top job mate 🫡❤️👍
Haha, the new Fender Am Pro II P Bass has not yet made its debut. I still have a few older videos I made lined up in the queue. It's been fun learning these Cure songs. Yeah, Gallup's bass lines are so good. I love how so many of The Cure songs seem to be built around the bass. Thanks for watching Neil! I appreciate the support, mate.
Bravo mon ami !
