great review and a nice projector for the price. Love seeing the girls excited with the giant movie. We use to have family movie night outside in the summer. great memories.
I own the V620 and the V630, the V630 is like 5% brighter (you can't even tell the difference) but the V630 fan is 70% louder! Buy the V620, no question about it, you will absolutely LOVE IT💗 Hands down best projector I've ever owned.
Thanks for a great review. For a sound option, I've found that a decent set of computer speakers, as long as their is also a sub-wooer with the set. Just plug them into the headphone jack of the projector. I've been using them for quite some time with my Alexa Dot and with that, you do not need an expensive stereo system.
Great video Steve!!. It's nice to see a good quality projector for an affordable price. I might be interested in something like this now they are affordable.
I feel like my video doesn't do the reality of owning a projector justice. This is a really good projector but, any projector setup is awesome. Every time i have someone over i surprise them with the garage setup and they're always blown away. I always thought good projectors were $1,000+.. apparently not. :)This might be my favorite item of 2019.
I also use projector as everyday tv. Once you started with the big screen expirience, you never go back to small tv's. Especially the price...my projector cost me 150€ with a amazon coupon. Now i got 130 Inch full Wall tv and it's bright enough for me. Put my Surround sound system on it, and i'm smilie every day....
I found the best way to get decent sound is to link the projector to an xbox (I guess ps4 would be the same), then connect the xbox to a decent stereo system. 🙂
FYI....when using the internal speakers, I get audio from one speaker only. I've heard same audio problem reported by several other users. 2nd channel not working. I suspect Vankyo has produced a large batch of units with defective sound.
So, how much better is this than the Cinemango 100? You reviewed that as well and said it was pretty darn good. What makes this worth 2.5 times as much? I am looking at getting one of these and would like to know which gives the most bang for the buck for just basic movie nights (maybe on the garage) Thanks!
Geat review I was wondering if you could help me with something very important there seems to be a lot of people complaining, including this one review or saying that the lag time on this is extremely bad some say it's 30 Hertz have you found this to be true. One reviewer went as far as to say you're better off sticking with the VANKYO 600 for has better response time.
This projector is 60hz good for gaming but have only a color depth of 8bit it's not HDR so sometimes the color is not accurate but overall it's a good projector but I would go for a v630 for it's keystone adjustment features the focus is also hard to align
@@trentl3492 I own the V620 and the V630, the V630 is like 5% brighter (you can't even tell the difference) but the V630 fan is 70% louder! Buy the V620, no question about it, you will absolutely LOVE IT💗 Hands down best projector I've ever owned.
Ochoo has the exact projector for $185 on Amazon. The Goodee YG620 is not as bright but has a better color wheel. Unfortunately it developed a yellowish spot after 5 months of intense usage.
Thanks for the informative review. I bought a V620 a few weeks ago...and mine has the same problem with the audio as yours. Not enough level! Just like you, when connected to an external amp, with the V620 volume AND amp volume set to maximum, the volume level is just barely acceptable. If you plug headphones into the V620, you can barely hear anything. Vankyo obviously has a design error here!....too bad, since the projector is excellent in every other regard. As an audio design engineer, I'm working on a fix for this.....
How the heck do i mount this to the ceiling? It’s got rubber feet where most projectors have screw holes. I tried prying them out but I don’t want to break anything
Hi, can someone tell me how far back I need to place the Vankyo 630 from the wall to achieve a clear 6' foot (72 inch) wide image? Is the Vankyo a short throw projector?
@@patricksarker How you connect to bose ...I have sono's but it take only HDMI ...and i tried to connect HDMI to HDMI ...but it didn't worked ...Not sure how to add external sound system to it .
@@mukeshgupta2537 Use an audio cable from projector (out) to receiver. Or if you're using a DVD player/ media player, connect audio straight to the receiver from the media player.
Like hook up an actual TV to the projector? Probably not. It's my understanding that TV's just input signals from other devises and don't export out signals. However, you can buy a Fire TV Stick, Roku, Chrome Cast, or Apple TV to connect to the projector and get that smart TV experience.
@Alton Kilbourne - " 6000 Lux" is in the product description on Amazon. For one, projector manufacturers don't use lux to measure light output, they use lumens. For two, there is no way in HELL that this cheap projector is producing 6000 lumens of light when even most, if not all, name brand projectors don't get that high in output. And yes, these cheap Chinese specials are known for having really high input latency, or lag.
hey! does this have screen tearing? I am using a elephas and whilst the image is great I get SO MUCH screen tearing I can't watch a movie. This one is a similar price range but wondering if you get screen tearing in fast paced movies? Thanks a lot

BS review. Manual keystone correction on these cheap China projectors will cause distortion and out of focus around the edges. You don't know the difference between flux and lumen or even ANSI lumen, which these China projectors avoid giving.

How is edge to edge sharpness? Colors look rich. Most projectors in that range are not great reproducing colors
Edges have some blur to it.
Wish they could make one with Bluetooth and make the sound better. Great review 👊🏽
