if im not mistaken, those masks are called Sugar Skulls,A Mexican tradition for a holiday called Day of the Dead. They are decorated for a lost loved one as a Memorial to each Soul lost and Remembered
There is no way to get through this with out a bout of "blurry screen". I found this song the year it came out, the same year my mother died in my arms from a heart attack. I hear this, and I think of her through the wonderful memories I have. It made the pain of losing her diminish through the overwhelming flood memories. I now reference it every time there is loss, at a time in my life when the "goodbyes" are more frequent than the "hellos". David is an amazing singer, and I thank him and his bad for creating this masterpiece of life.
Thank you for doing my request. I'm very sorry to hear about your mom, I lost mine in 2014. When Ryan passed away, it happened so fast. At first, in my grief, I couldn't share any memories of him that I thought I was giving away parts of him, that his memories were for me and me only. After listening to Hold Onto Memories a few dozen times, I realized that talking about him, the things he did, funny or not, talking about those memories, and sharing with others made me smile. The grief st ill knocks me to my knees, but I have found talking helps. The singer David was spot on, though hugging our loved ones often and keeping them close. ❤
In case you didn't see and might want to do with Ryan's pictures! posed below by: @carolynboone80 2 months ago If you go to their official live of this song, there's a generator that allows you to insert 8 (I think, might be 6) of your own pictures into the video.
David's voice has such a way of touching our souls. I felt it as well in his cover of Sound of Silence. Sorry for everyone's loss of loved ones.....definitely keep them in your memories.
I have a neigbhour (exuse my English, I'm Norwegian), he had a boy child with leuci...blood cancer. They healed the blood cancer, but because of the medication, he developted a deadly lunge inflaminition. And he died in his fathers arms at the age of 6. Another neighbour, he is a doctor, was called out to an emergency call....he was on watch that nigth. He was the one called out. He lives about 150 yards from me...he never really recoverd. He is my mothers cousine. It was his dougther, aged 15. What he said to me...I couldn't recognise her because of the damangment. It was a car accident. Hold on to memories!!!!
I LOVE this song!! I love Disturbed...but this song, I have lost three close to me. At my age to cancer the last years. My father have cancer in bouth lunges and in some sort of gland rigth now. We all loose people, all the time when you reach a sertion age. But as long as they are in our minds!! :)
So sorry for your losses. You are so right....I am just turning 67 and one by one they are gone. I wonder how soon I will be next. I am very unwell or I would do as David says...."take a bite of this world while you can"....never miss an opportunity! ❤🩹

Loved your reaction. It was honest and sincere. You should react to Disturb’s official video of their cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence.”
