    Oh what a brilliant idea! I really want to use embellishment clusters more as I love the layered look on the page. It's something that has become more the style in scrapping in the years I haven't been scrapping much, so it's really new to me (along with mixed media backgrounds, which I'm loving!). I'm struggling doing the layering with the embellishments on the page its self and think this prep will really help! Thank you!

    Thanks. You inspired me to use up some chipboard stickers that I had leftover from a long time ago. Love your videos

    Irit you're the best! I had to pause the video to crack up-twice!!. Between that random embellishment cluster and you blurting out that one of the birds freaks you out, LMAO!! I love your sense of humor! I did this after one of your previous videos and what a great idea! It's so fun and it got me playing with the ephemera and chipboard that I love the most! Perfect to do when your feeling stuck on just getting started. TFS! -Shari

    I enjoyed viewing your video so much!! First of all, I love Maggie Holmes' work so much, and secondly - I thoroughly enjoyed the way you put your embellishments together ... not too much. not too sparse - just right!! The colors you used featuring the Maggie Holmes' kit are my favorite since I was a little girl. My mother felt the same way - and her mother before her. Maybe it's something in our DNA?? I'm saving this video to watch again, and look forward to watching your future videos. Thank-you again for the enjoyment and inspiration. You said some things (suggestions) that I've never heard anyone suggest before!! :)

    what's in the bottle that you're applying to some of the ephemera after you add them to your cluster?

    • @iritlandgraf
      @iritlandgraf  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Trini! I use sometimes a powder tool, it's just a little container with baby powder that you brush on the stickers to remove stickiness. That way I can move them around without worrying they will stick to something I don't want them to... Mine is from EK success but you can just use a regular brush dipped in a bit of baby powder.

    Very nice your embelishment I like them very much.
    But please could tell me what the word "cluster" mean exactly?
    I am sorry I am french
    Thank you
    Nathalie

      HI Nathalie! Sorry for taking so long, your new comment reminded me that I never answered this one. A cluster in basically a group of things. In scrapbooking it is usually used together with the word embellishment so an embellishment cluster is a group of embellishments, or decorations. It is more interesting and fun to group and layer embellishment (into a cluster), but sometimes can be tricky to get a pretty look and a nice balance. Hope that helps!

    I would think that matching the embelishments up with plain tags or tags that dyed/stapmed would not seem so wasteful. I am Canadian and we do pay more for the collections plus tax plus shipping and border fees so I do not buy collections that often. Well hopefully my dollar goes up more😆😉 then i will buy more.

    • @iritlandgraf
      @iritlandgraf  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nancy Fedunec that's a great idea of course! I find I don't use larger pieces of ephemera so easily and never on their own without something layered on top, so it's not wasteful for me, but of course there are lots of great ways to stretch ones stash, like using cheaper supplies for the back pieces and layers, be it tags, newspaper cuts, scraps of patterned paper etc.
