Im pretty sure Lollia just wanted to re cover it and update a new version for her new album. There wasnt anything particularly wrong with this version, but i do prefer it than the new one actually
It was a problem that came up between her and the person who mixed the song. Idk most details, but it was an apparently toxic relationship one way or another (I don't remember which way it went) and it ended with the guy not wanting his mixes of music being used by Lollia. So she had to redo the songs that included mixes by the guy, such as this one.
Going against the grain but I personally think this version is terrible. It might be related to the fact that I really like RichaadEB's music, but the new version feels infinitely better. The problem is that the instrumental for this version really feels like it's trying to be something special, and it kinda fails; it doesn't relate to the vocals well enough. It almost feels like a christmas song with how much the instrumentals stand out, and it's far too upbeat for this kind of song. Conversely, the new version recaptures the original feel of the song much better. One feels like someone was told to make a paraody (this version), the other feels like it's remaking the same song as if it was made for the western audience (the new one). Not to mention the fact that the new version is animated, and really ties together the entire song. I could be reading into this too much because I personally prefer the new version, but I'd like to think I'm not.
Eh, i liked this one when i was still in school and i feel more emotion in this one tbh. it sounds more desperate than upset which is what the song is, desperation to be okay. But thats just me lol
