    This looks great. I always travel by bus, but will definitely try train from Zagreb next time :) Thank you

      It takes longer by train, but the comfort is worth it :)

    Station opened in 1982? It does not look like so.

      Hello, thank you for noticing. It was a typo, the station was opened in 1892.

To przykre...

      Completely agree. It makes sense for those staying in Budapest, returning from Zagreb or Split, as it connects to the IC 520 Marjan from Split to Zagreb almost daily. In the opposite direction, when you arrive from Budapest to Zagreb, you might catch the nigh train NZ 1821 to Split on Fridays.

    Thanks, that was interesting) Zagreb is beautiful city, dream to visit it once. Strange, that there are only 2 cars are going to Budapest, it's a little passenger flow between 2 capitals?

      Yes, it seems like. Only one direct connection by train per day, that takes 5h50m. But there are also faster and more frequent buses that will make it in 4 hours the fastest.

      @@Europe-By-Train Oh, I see. The government have any plans about reconstruction of this line for higher speeds?

    • @Europe-By-Train

      Not that I am aware of. And considering there currently only one connection a day, I wouldn't have high hopes.

      well the top speed will be 160, but i think it can hold longer speeds in the future

    Was it a direct train ? I did a search on rhe web and for the Budapest to Zagreb train it says theres a transition to a bus in the last Hungarian city before Croatia. Also called the Keleti International trainstation in Budapest and they said it's a direct train. So annoying that I can't really tell if it's direct or not..

    • @Europe-By-Train

      Yes, it is usually a direct train. There seems to be a replacement bus running between Nagykanizsa and Gyekenyes in Hungary until 16th May. So it is a direct normally, but if you buy a ticket, and it shows partially replaced by bus, I would count with that.

    2:20 opened 1982 or 1892? Looks more 1892, and I was there a few weeks ago. Didn't travel anywhere, just went in to check it out and use the (barely adequate) bathroom.

    • @Europe-By-Train

      It was 1892, a typo from my side. Someone already mentioned it, and I put a correction note in the video. Yeah, the bathroom, that was an experience.
