I respect when people say they don’t like kpop, but most of the time people just say that without really knowing much about it and usually formulate this opinion based on prejudice against their looks or because they think it’s just fabricated pop music while kpop actually has groups, bands and soloist who produces and write their own music like BTS, and there’s so many different genres influence like hiphop, R&B, rock even metal influence like DREAMCATCHER, Ft.iland etc. so it’s so much more than just pop. Have you ever listened to BTS?.. they write and produce their own music. They compose all kinds of genres ranging from hip hop to neo soul to rock ballads. They do it all. I recommend “Black Swan”. Subtitles are recommended as their lyrics are really deep and beautiful. This song recently broke the five year record set by Adele for the most #1’s on iTunes. That record was broken the next day by a member of the group. There’s a reason why they are the hugest group on the planet. They are their own competition.

Kpop is classified as one genre but it's inspired by so many different genres that there's no specific sound that represents Kpop. I find it's a common misconception and it doesn't actually make a lot of sense to judge Kpop as a whole cuz of one or two songs/groups you didn't like. It's really fun to explore! I recommend Exo, they are one of, if not the most, vocally artistic groups. Pls react to their songs "Tempo" (the MV), "Obsession" (the MV), and also their live performance of "Wolf" (th-cam.com/video/a8UeSVgiXmI/w-d-xo.html). Some other groups I think you might like are Mamamoo, G-idle, NCT 127, and soloists Sunmi and Chungha. You should definitely check out every group recommended in your comments tho, even those that don't seem your taste cuz you might be surprised!
Y’all should REALLLLY check out Jay Park. He’s a Korean-American rapper out of Washington, he raps in both English and Korean, and kills it in both. I respect when people say they don’t like kpop, but most of the time people just say that without really knowing much about it and usually formulate this opinion based on prejudice against their looks or because they think it’s just fabricated pop music while kpop actually has groups, bands and soloist who produces and write their own music like BTS, and there’s so many different genres influence like hiphop, R&B, rock even metal influence like DREAMCATCHER, Ft.iland etc. so it’s so much more than just pop.

Have you ever listened to BTS?.. they write and produce their own music. They compose all kinds of genres ranging from hip hop to neo soul to rock ballads. They do it all. I recommend “Black Swan”. Subtitles are recommended as their lyrics are really deep and beautiful. This song recently broke the five year record set by Adele for the most #1’s on iTunes. That record was broken the next day by a member of the group. There’s a reason why they are the hugest group on the planet. They are their own competition.
We'll check it out, and to be honest I've only heard bits and pieces of their songs but Blackpink has opened my eyes to this genre of music

I Stan Blackpink because all their music every single song is to my taste! This is just how I am with groups or all individual artist! Right now, y’all are barely getting into kpop and so far you like some Blackpink songs, but who knows if it will be the same as you listen to more. My only advice is saying to keep an open mind and simply don’t compare groups too much since kpop fans tend to be very defensive about their faves! Kpop is classified as one genre but it's inspired by so many different genres that there's no specific sound that represents Kpop. I find it's a common misconception and it doesn't actually make a lot of sense to judge Kpop as a whole cuz of one or two songs/groups you didn't like. It's really fun to explore!
I recommend Exo, they are one of, if not the most, vocally artistic groups. Pls react to their songs "Tempo" (the MV), "Obsession" (the MV), and also their live performance of "Wolf" (th-cam.com/video/a8UeSVgiXmI/w-d-xo.html).
Some other groups I think you might like are Mamamoo, G-idle, NCT 127, and soloists Sunmi and Chungha.
You should definitely check out every group recommended in your comments tho, even those that don't seem your taste cuz you might be surprised!
