- This is our first reaction to the music video for DDU DU DDU DU by BLACKPINK. Trevon came across BLACKPINK from a video game that he has on his phone. DDU DU DDU DU was actually really good, i'm very impressed by what these girls have done. We will definitely be reacting to more BLACKPINK in the future along with other Kpop groups.

i recommend clc, (g)- idle, jessi (she’s a solo artist), 4minute (theyre disbanded tho), dream catcher, and many other girl groups that have hard hitting songs. it won’t be hard to find any hard hitting boygroups haha. :D good luck! if u need any good song/group reccs just reply hehe. baii stay safe :)
I wasn't interested in kpop at all and then i saw Lisa and she got me into blackpink.. And trust me if you into hiphop Blackpink comes from YG entertainment which is a hiphop influenced company.. So all their artists have this hiphop vibe such as Blackpink, Bigbang(old kpop band known as kings) , 2ne1(known as kpop queens but already diabanded),Ikon,etc . So BP is currently ruling it like their seniors. Also you must've heard of the song Gangnam Style back in 2012 ..it was a worldwide hit and the first ever kpop song to go worlwide hit and yes it's from YG entertainment(the agency of blackpink). In short, they rock.

But they all turned out to be a mehh for me except for the yg artists anf eventually i turned into a yg stan. Simple. I respect when people say they don’t like kpop, but most of the time people just say that without really knowing much about it and usually formulate this opinion based on prejudice against their looks or because they think it’s just fabricated pop music while kpop actually has groups, bands and soloist who produces and write their own music like BTS, and there’s so many different genres influence like hiphop, R&B, rock even metal influence like DREAMCATCHER, Ft.iland etc. so it’s so much more than just pop.

Have you ever listened to BTS?.. they write and produce their own music. They compose all kinds of genres ranging from hip hop to neo soul to rock ballads. They do it all. I recommend “Black Swan”. Subtitles are recommended as their lyrics are really deep and beautiful. This song recently broke the five year record set by Adele for the most #1’s on iTunes. That record was broken the next day by a member of the group. There’s a reason why they are the hugest group on the planet. They are their own competition.
We'll check it out, and to be honest I've only heard bits and pieces of their songs but Blackpink has opened my eyes to this genre of music

Nothing wrong with liking one group over another! Not a fan of BTS not because I dislike them, but because not all their songs are to my liking! Doesn’t mean there aren’t some that I like! I Stan Blackpink because all their music every single song is to my taste! This is just how I am with groups or all individual artist! Right now, y’all are barely getting into kpop and so far you like some Blackpink songs, but who knows if it will be the same as you listen to more. My only advice is saying to keep an open mind and simply don’t compare groups too much since kpop fans tend to be very defensive about their faves! 43 male here, rock fan mostly, some hip-hop, but been a HUGE fan of kpop since 2016. Was into jpop 20 years ago but got bored of it after about a year.
So far Kpop isn't bad we haven't heard something we didn't like yet
Kpop is classified as one genre but it's inspired by so many different genres that there's no specific sound that represents Kpop. I find it's a common misconception and it doesn't actually make a lot of sense to judge Kpop as a whole cuz of one or two songs/groups you didn't like. It's really fun to explore!
I recommend Exo, they are one of, if not the most, vocally artistic groups. Pls react to their songs "Tempo" (the MV), "Obsession" (the MV), and also their live performance of "Wolf" (th-cam.com/video/a8UeSVgiXmI/w-d-xo.html).
Some other groups I think you might like are Mamamoo, G-idle, NCT 127, and soloists Sunmi and Chungha.
You should definitely check out every group recommended in your comments tho, even those that don't seem your taste cuz you might be surprised!
Alot of Kpop artists speak multiple languages. Jennie( the one with the hat) grew up in New Zealand, rose( the one you said had a nice voice )is from Australia and Lisa ( girl with the boots is from Thailand)
