Do you ever think teachers should be allowed to use 'reasonable force' when it comes to dealing with violent or disruptive pupils? Well, we're discussing this after details from a leaked government document have emerged in the press, detailing guidelines which allow teachers to do just that. We’re joined this morning by two people with very different opinions, former teacher Jules Daulby, who says these kinds of harsh guidelines are both unhelpful and dangerous and only serve to turn ‘schools into prisons’. Alongside her is mum of four, Clare Muldoon, who said she’d happily have any teacher use reasonable force against one of her children if their behaviour warranted it.
