What kind of a man can sleep at night, knowing he has destroyed the careers of women who through shear dedication and hard work have climbed to the pinnacle of their sport? And that goes for those who while holding down a job and bringing up children, are trashed in a sport they have dedicated so much of their free time to by a man who has been so blinded by his own selfishness, that he can no longer see reason to the point of having no shame.

It happens because everyone is so scared of the lunatic fringe and their bonkers demands. Until we return to ignoring these narcissistic ’demanders’ it will just continue.
What I've noticed last 5 odd years is even powerful corporations seem to be bowing more to the woke brigade, lobby groups shame corporations that don't agree with their inclusiveness angle, corporations that don't advertise in the social style the woke want.
Corporations seem to think (and I'm basing this assumption on how they advertise to us) that the majority of the mainstream want this too.
These woke lobby groups are very strong, and they are backed up by legal due process using anti discrimination legislation that has been around since the mid 1980s and is continually evolving with the times.
Social media has now made a lot of people on the fringe who pre internet would of been just fighting locally for their rights or even just in the closet, to now go confidently outwards into the new generations, internet has spread the word about this lifestyle unlike anything ever seen, and even encourages that lifestyle to younger generations influenced by digital media.
There's a lot of digital momentum behind these movements now, and they are getting pretty strong. And for parkrun to delete all records! Wow that's a big bow to woke.
As soon as women know that a man is competing against them in these sorts of athletic or swimming competitions… you must all stick together and refuse to start… the organisers will soon get the message especially if sponsors are involved. Let the blokes race on their own
They'll always be someone with no morals willing to take their place though. Same as paying a boxer to lose a fight. The money or fame will be more important to them.

Because there are other chromosomal combinations too, like xxy. Disorders and differences of sexual development can cause some xy people develop looking more like females than males where, for example, a chromosomal defect suppresses the testosterone or their body's sensitivity to it. Those kind of cases really do need to be assessed on an individual basis, because they're very rare.
Everyone else should be categorised according to the main determiner of sex, which is gamete production, i.e whether a body is developed along the 'large gamete production pathway' (to produce eggs in humans so female) or the 'small gamete production pathway' (to produce sperm in humans, so male). Whether a person actually can produce those gametes is irrelevant. Men having no sperm count or EDD doesn't make them female, just like women aren't male after menopause or a hysterectomy. The only thing that matters is the pathway along which the body has developed.

Women need to boycott events which allow Trans men to compete against Women, assuming of course that the organisers tell them, which I imagine they probably don't.
As soon as they realise, women should just concede en masse.
The trouble is, there aren't enough women currently willing to do this en masse. There are just a few noble examples who concede, whilst the rest continue contrbuting to their own professional and vocational demise in sport.

Hello just to help they use the term Transmen to refer to women who identify as trans. Even your are confused by their BS. Clearer terms to use are Men who identify as Trans and Women who identify as Trans. It acknowledges the reality first and then the delusion so it is less of a game of semantics

Agree with Mara. I did our Parkrun this morning and so joyful to see young aspiring female club runners succeeding. A man assuming a female role and winning will give these girls nothing to aspire to and possibly turn them away from the sport.

Said like someone who takes 40' to run Park Run. My daughter runs sub 18' and for her it was great to compare her results to the records that day. I can see she's already demoralised.

It shows how delluded, irrational, unreasonable and narcissistic they are. The medals and titles mean more to them than reality and fairness.
The fact that they are not embarrassed in the slightest tells me something about them…… mostly that they’re not women. A real woman would understand how wrong it is.

Elites come from grass roots sports so if you can’t get it right at grass roots level this will feed into elite sports as we have seen recently.

My partner is a transwoman and feels just like me that it is totally inappropriate for trans women to compete against real women. When she plays in mixed teams she always plays as a man as she realizes she has advantages physically that real women don't have. So playing mixed netball she subs out for other men or the other transwoman on the team.
Because she can't wear a netball skirt playing in the mens team.:D

A legal definition of male and female based on Biological sex, confirmed at birth based on gametes and XX and XY Chromosomes is needed not just in sport but in every day life is needed. That will negate any issues in sports and keep women safe.
Since summer, I stopped going to park run and park walk because of the interview Sharon Davies did. I wrote to park run. The local park run wrote back saying they were sorry that I felt that way. Central Park run ignored my email. Whilst every fellow runner agreed with me that it was wrong. Not one of them stopped going to park run. That’s the issue right there. What’s really sad is the women’s reaction was all they they personally would not be setting a record showing no empathy for those that would. Men however had more empathy for women and the fairness.

Sharon Davis, Daly Thompson, Martina Navratilova, Kaitlin Jenner, Riley Gaines + many other sports people are all saying the same thing > Keep women's sports for women, let women compete against other women in elite & non elite sports. Keep sports fair, men in the men's category, women in the women's category & those males who identify as "women" should then have the choice to either compete against their fellow males or to have their own unique category for people who claim not to conform to human binary sex.
Putting trans "women" (men) into women's sport is not fair, it's not right, and it's very unsporting.

@@winstoningram99 they had an open category for the transes and whoever else wanted it in an international swimming competition in Berlin. No one showed up. They don’t want their own category, they want to be in the women’s category.
How has a civilised society become this messed up? Who are the people condoning this, we need our men to start backing us women up. I think the only way to end this is for all women to stop all competitive sport until those in charge take us more seriously. This idea will also prevent the men from competing in women competitive sports.
The sad thing is a lot of women are pushing this and have been since the sixties.

I believe this madness can stop overnight, the women shouldn't participate with transwomen, let the transperson be the only one in the race, competing against nobody. The women can only attain 2nd or 3rd place anyway. Visually this will make everyone take notice.

Actually right now the opposite is happening more and more sports at the world level are banning transwomen from competing against women.
@@simmorg290 Yes, some organizations like FINA and World Athletics have stepped in at the top level. However at the minor level it’s not happening. There are biological males who have taken away spots on the varsity basketball and soccer team on my nieces high school in California. It’s not just one kid… Also, it’s now very common to see biological boys come in top 3 at a local track and field or swim meet in my area. This wasn’t happening at all in 2019 before covid… All of these biological boys barely could make the JV team when they played in their biological gender, but are now starting varsity players…
@@Teeman44 I live in the UK and even though I'm aware of the situation there it doesn't affect me. It seems like for some sports they allow transwomen to compete against women until a world class transwoman appears and then they have a rethink. Hopefully they'll then change their rules and ban transwomen. The high school situation in the US is ridiculous and totally unfair. Unlike some international sports who changed their rules as I mentioned the authorities there don't seem to care that boys win girls races. From what I understand these boys don't even have to have hormone therapy to reduce their testosterone although that doesn't make much difference anyway. In the UK high school sport is of no interest to anyone but the school and the parents so I don't know what's happening here. I haven't heard anything about it in the news though.

I spoke to a London school girl who told me a boy in her year had not only been allowed to have PE lessons with the girls, but was allowed to use the girls' changing rooms and showers, and the entire class of girls was queueing to use the single disabled changing cubicle every lesson, in order to avoid undressing in front of him. It seems common for schools to break the law this way, because they've had their training from trans activist organisations.@@simmorg290

We are the majority sex girls, there's more of us, so we need to stand up together and not go away. Become active. If ALL born females boycott all "women's competitions" that include trans men. Eventually that loud message would land and change the whole climate of current sport.
And NB. on the whole, most women aren't the sex who issue such nasty bullying threats to trans sports people. Says it all, really.

The whole Parkrun thing is relatively new in my neck of the woods, and with the nearest one being ~150km away, I had inquired into starting one in my community... at least that is until I found out about this. Forget it.

Well done Mara for stepping forward to say this, in this time this is very brave personally and professionally. I was shocked to see this in park run, ive competed against trans people in sports and it is demoralising, we aren't as strong and we train hard just like the men do, just like anyone who cares about their sport does, and when you care enough to train you're invested in your results
Until all the women competing, RUFUSE to take part with trans athletes in their category , this will never change , every time a woman gets to an event and decides to take part when they will be competing with bio men, It's condoning their inclusion in the female category . THE only people who can stop this are the people it's affecting , they need to protest publicly and stop going along to get along .

We MUST start having a 3rd category, for Trans men. In all sports, across the board. That's all there is to it.

There was a trans category in Berlin a few weeks ago and guess what ??? No trans athletes turned up. The problem here is men ie trans women cheating and getting a thrill out of being in women’s spaces. Let’s be real here when we talk about trans athletes we are talking about the MEN pretending to be women because they have the physical advantage.

One of the beauties of Parkrun is the self-reg and the lack of faff at the start of the race. However, we can clearly see that this is also now one of its key flaws. We can ignore the records really.
In an effort to send a message to Parkrun i have taken the decision to unsubscribe from mailing list - hopefully if enough park runners do this it will prompt a review

1) Get competitors to take the Autogynephelia test to see where they really sit on the trans spectrum. 2) Have a Trans category autonomous to other categories....That will open up a new world of jobs for those involved in sports administration as well.

I think the issue with parkrun is the fact that you can choose yourself whether your account is male or female.
Actually it would be a breach of the equality act. To allow them. Very few do anything till after it's a problem. If we just employed the already existing legislation it wouldn't be happening.
The Equality Act allows you to exclude men from 'gender-effected' sports, it doesn't make it mandatory, so individual sports can do what they like

I salute the Trans woman I know who does Park runs but deliberately does not go over the offical finish line and is thus either not recorded or disqualified.
This lunacy needs to stop. Men who think they’re women need to understand an important thing about being a woman - ‘you can’t have it all’. If you want to transition you have to give up competitive sport. That’s the price. And you can’t use ladies locker rooms either. I’m sure the blokes will be inclusive with you in the men’s.
Even if men are not inclusive it doesn't give them the right to go into women's. I'm happy to concede these individuals may need some special accommodations. But they will have to fight for them on truthful grounds (not by declaring they "are women").
