Are there better TID's than others for shiny rates? I've heard that TIDs with the same numbers (like, 33355 for example) are preferable. Is that actually true?

I'm a musician, so I understand the feeling of wanting to hold something to settle nerves when performing. A lot of singers hold a guitar, even if the guitar isn't plugged in. You don't need that, King. Your art speaks for itself.

If i was a programmer tasked to fix this i would change the bits used to create the Unknown-ID: Instead of taking the last 2 bits of every byte of the PID to create an 8 bit number, we can just take the last 3 bits of the second and fourth byte of the PID to create a 6 bit number. Those 6 bits are totally irrellevant for determining shinyness. This would give us an Unknown-ID possibility space of 0-63 inclusive, from which we can take mod 28 to determine which letter it is.

4:40 That image taught me how to find decimal values in long division. The long division I was taught stopped at the ones place and gave you a remainder answer. Unless it's something obvious like x/4 = yR2, I didn't know how to find the decimal form of a quotient without using a calculator

I love that you give small rundowns of different math and logics operations, as someone with ADHD it can be really hard (or at least really annoying) to suddenly remember how things work when it is the first time in years hearing about it and watching a video like this while in casual "lazy brain mode", hah. (I know how things like "XOR" etc works of course, but because of reasons like language I dont really associate something like "XOR" with the operation it actually describes, but if someone said in full what the name is short for, I would x.x)
I honestly think it makes more sense to always call the trainer ID 32 bit start in gen 3, just they used to show a decimal representation of the lower two bytes, now they show the last six digits of a decimal representation of the entire number. ... this is me though, what I think makes sense and what actually makes sense are rarely the same thing.

This isn't related to this project but: a long time ago, messing with emulation, I managed to make Emerald's Elite Four member Phoebe's Sableye shiny. I wanted to know why that's possible. I was messing around with "catch trainer's Pokemon" cheats at the time if that helps

14:02 High rates means high frequency which means it happens a lot. Low rates are thus rarer. For example, there is a low rate of people winning the lottery, and a much higher rate of rolling a 3 on a standard six-sided die than on a twenty-sided die.

It's a learning moment for everyone. You taught us something cool about Pokemon and I taught something to help future content be clearer. All in all, I give the video 9.5/10.

Does the UTID affect the encounter rates at all? The 99:1 for A/Z and ?/!
Encounter rates are not affected at all by the TID/SID
