    Awesome review, what a breath of fresh air, someone who tells it like it is without frills and "fakeness". Have yourself a sub sir. Looking forward to more.

    Terrifically thorough review, Tomy. After watching your video I went ahead and purchased the Aerios myself, no hesitation. I am loving them. What a great shoe, thank you for putting your experience out here!

    Nice review. I hear a lot of good things about the shoes. I’ve been wearing HOKA but those shoes have been on my mind.

      In my book that are worth every penny. I think shoe are a very personal item and all brands don’t fit every one, so I’m really happy I found these.. my feet can definitely do more KM with these

      I have both , Arc & Hoka...both good but for me Hoka more comfortable...I trail walk 5-15 km a day, everyday Rain (Snow) or shine

    I bought my first trail runners this year and I'm trying them now. I used to wear higher shoes to give my ankle some support. It feels ok for now. I'll consider Gore-Tex next time cause I don't like wet feet. 😊 Good review!

      What would you like to say about the difference between the waterproofness of high shoes and mid ones?

    Bought these shoes before seeing your video, always been a fan of arc'teryx (mostly due to my father being a die hard fan). Looking forward to seeing how they fare in the north of sweden. Great review!

      I’m still using the ones in this review, at least 1000km in them by now and still going strong. Thanks for watching, hope they feel as good for you as they do for me :)

    Have you also tried the Norvan LD3?
    Is the toe box narrow or normal? Similar to Salomon?

    Great job. Hoping to get the cinder colour next month. My only concern is the stitched section at the back of the shoe. Looks like a weak point.

    • @locossanity

      Also, what do you think of this shoe but in the MID version? I kind of feel its overkill

    • @TomyHovingtonHiking

      Size is true, I wear 10 1/2 in other shoes also..
      As for the mid, I haven’t tried them but I don’t really like mid for hiking anyway...

    Thank you very much for a very informative review. I have a question. Is the mid-sole spongy like in running shoes or hard like in hiking boots? Many thanks.

    Having used leather mountain boots for most of my outdoor activities, naturally I noticed an increased demand on my ancles ... more so than when using my regular running shoes because of the grip kinda wanted to stick to everything, hehe.

    Great review Tomy.
    Were you able to source them locally ( on the island )
    I have been looking for a decent trail shoe so might check these ones out if I can find them close by.

      When I looked for my first pair ( The Howe sound blue and Redox) I tried at VPO here in Comox but they said the closest was Nainamo and If not then Victoria. I decided to order online directly from Arcteryx. Size is true, I used to have 10.5 for my MOAB2 and same for the Aerios.

      Yes, I use to ride in the Moab and use the same size for the Aerios.

    • @rockvalenz
      @rockvalenz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Would you recommend going half or full size bigger on this ones as recommended for more stiff hiking boots/shoes?

    • @30m3
      @30m3 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rockvalenz I bought these since asking the above question. Buy your true US size any bigger and you'll not be able to lock your feet down. The toebox is snug but comfortable even after a full day hiking. These are super lightweight with amazing grip. Great ground feel too. Cushion is firm so if you want a soft ride these aren't it. Also you might not need the goretex version as they can get warm.

    Tomy, I bought those ...and will be taking them on a winter (walk across the country)...(bringing insulated boots too),...anyway...i decided to buy those hillsounds...based on this review...and im recommending my friend buy a pair of these as well...but...my question is....are those the Hillsound Trail Crampons? ...or are those 'microspikes'....trying to not buy the wrong ones!

    • @TomyHovingtonHiking

    And they are made in a factory in China?

    • @nathankeel4308
      @nathankeel4308 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are made in China, but they are still quality controlled and inspected by Arc'teryx. This isn't 2005 or Walmart shoes. China has a lot of crap, but they also have some high quality gear. Especially when they're using high quality materials like Vibram, and Gore-tex such as these.

    • @nathankeel4308
      @nathankeel4308 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Arc'teryx makes some of their stuff in Canada, some in China, and they also outsource to Bangladesh, and Indonesia. Every items tells you where they are from in the description.
