You also have chess tabletennis (in Dutch schafeltennis). You have tournaments where you get points for the short chess and points for the tabletennis games/sets against players

Amazing stuff, I'll have to check it out as I don't think I've ever seen a game

You should cover sports that nations and clubs have adopted from fictional movies like:
    1. Light Saber Dueling (Star Wars)-Played in the European Union
    2. Quidditch (Harry Potter)-Played in North America

AMAZING idea, I had already considered Quidditch for this obscure sports series, but you've prompted a whole bunch of other ones, thank you!

I’m going to introduce this to my Office chess club. Maybe I can finally win a match! 😅

@@voxathletica Well, no one accepted my offer of “Chess Fu.”
      Here’s what I received:
When we were younger, my brothers and I made up a game called "chessling" (chess + wrestling). It requires 32 players, representing both team's chess pieces, on a life-sized chess board. The king is the team captain who gets to direct others where to move, and when a piece moves to capture another piece, they wrestle to see who stays on the board!
Needless to say, I've never actually gotten to play...

You could also talk about kettlebell sport lifting. It's gaining popularity, but I still feel it is pretty obscure by mainline sport standards
