A point of note...science is an ongoing investigation, not fact. And i would assume that more informed people should consider the fact of trauma in the life of the patients? It is amazing, to not only consider invironmental factors, but also put simply, the spirit and mind itself. Also, as much as we want to help medically, we often aggitate the situation with medication as man is such an intricate being.
She deserves compliments . She is quite eloquent. Dementia , the word mentia also exists in middle Persian menistan means to think .dementia is related to demons ? Or de -ment ( not proper thinking ) ?!😅
@@heidikortman2534 I don't know that dementia is from demon ? (Actually demons eat the brain of senescent person causing disorientation. ) Or dement prefix means madness lack of decent reasoning . In the etymology on line it is the latter but in a neurology book it was the former .
A fair amount of ideological claprap in here...as my mother declined due to Alzheimer's no-one would have doubted that there was an obvious decline...that her "before" state was in all senses better than her "after" state. Her disabled stae was observably inferior compared to her healthy one. The hierarchy was clear, obvious and self evident. We need to move away from the absurd notion that everything is equal, and if it isn't,that we should pretend it is.
Dementia is a medical problem. We learn about it by studying medicine, not race. Some people have motivation to apply racial ideas to anything they can, but if there isn't proof of discrimination we should be very wary of believing there is such. The presence of discrimination, like anything, needs proof if trust is to be put in it.
As a hospice volunteer, this was an incredibly insightful and useful presentation. Thank you 🙏

de- is a prefix meaning not, or, to undo, as in detangle.

I think JB's discription and criticism of the film are inaccurate and unfounded, respectively.
Dull
Why?
Very insightful, I can only imagine how painful it must be to live with dementia
