A very interesting video - trying to diagnose faults on my van atm which I suspect are BSM related. If it is and I can’t get a numbers matching item I might have to get in touch.
Thanks!… BSM modules (Under bonnet fusebox) are actually plug & play - you can usually fit different part numbers as they are fairly interchangeable. However if it is actually a BSI (Internal body control module / fusebox) that you need then this will need cloning etc - even if your donor unit is a matching part number! hi there great video we have an issue of peugeot partner after dead battery now only the drivers door can be unlocked only with blade but can be locked with fob but not unlocked even the button on dash wont unlock only locks i suspect bsi is there a way of resetting the bsi or we need some special tool many thanks
@@taz8436 Hi, there a BSI reset procedure that can be performed - Google it to find the process, this may help - or it may need a BSI software update / replacement if that doesn’t help..
Thank you for clear explanations. I have issue today with my car dashboard was awkward the headlights and whippers turned on without activation doors won’t open. I suspect issue with IBS. Can I get in touch with you for help
I have peugeot 208 and also the touchscreen wasn’t working. I disconnected battery and put back again now. Everything is fine now, could the battery be a cause for issues with IBS?
Hi, thanks for watching & for your comment!.. yes the problem you have could be the BSI, caused by a flat battery - they are really temperamental & suffer from software ‘glitches’ although it’s really hard to diagnose without having the vehicle in our workshop. I’m assuming you performed a BSI ‘reset’ - if you need advice then please contact us, our contact details are on our website: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
I posted a ten point summarisation of the video content but YT censored it deleted it. Anyway the video is not the whole story there was something going on that's edited out showing how to set up a donor BSI
Hi & thanks for watching, I’m not sure what you are referring to? We are showing here our solution to a customers vehicle which a company had lost their BSI, so a quick easy fix for us is to switch the immobiliser off from the ECU, adapt the VIN in BSI & set BSI mileage to zero so it doesn’t affect the dash & program new remote keys to the BSI so the remote central locking works, not every step was recorded as many of our services are not for public viewing, we are a business & obviously can’t give all of our secret techniques away! Which part of the BSI setting up process are you interested in knowing more about?
Hi i have a 2010 partner 1.6 hdi that after plugging a tyre pump in has blown the BSI / BSM, im i right i thinking if i buy a full ecu kit BSM, BSI ,ECU and locks and keys it should work ok without any programing. Van wont run and wipers and headlights come on when ignition is switched on. Rgds Dave
Hi, we strongly advise against fitting a whole kit, although yes this may run without programming you may have configuration faults, VIN numbers will not match - your stereo will need adapting, your immobiliser PIN will be incorrect for your vehicle and your mileage will spike to the higher value if the kit is from a higher mileage vehicle etc etc… Our advice is that if you need to replace the BSM, just swap it - they are NOT programmed, it is simply a fusebox - if you want to replace the BSI then use our BSI cloning service: www.ecuconnection.co.uk
@@williamrae9954 Sorry without having wiring diagrams available for individual cars I am unable to assist, but yes it’s possible the fault you have is the BSI, but equally it may be something else..

Hi, thanks for watching!, unfortunately a problem as complex as this is far too complicated to help via TH-cam, you have a real headscratcher there!, did you consider firstly trying a software update on your original ECU before replacing it?
I will swap again and try to update ecu software, this time with diagbox dealer. Only that I can update, have immo and cannot be updated away from the car. So I will update next time. Do you think the bsi can do that, or ecu? Because ecu commands engine and all annexes. That is my opinion.
