It’s cool to see dream being represented as someone standing up for himself. People often show dream is a sort of pushover, like he can handle things in a fight but overall he’s essentially a doormat and can’t defend himself which isn’t true. He was kinda like that in his past but that was mostly because of ✨manipulation✨ and ✨toxic friend groups✨ and the whole argument with Ink really shows the development in his character, as well as his own personal self reflection and mental health. Cause the poor dude has been through some stuff, and it’s definitely affected his mental state. I love Dream and I relate to him a little more than I should-

Actually, both are right in the argument, when you think of it. If Ink interferes, then he isn't doing his job properly. His real title is technically "the Protector of the Script of the AUs", but he shorten it into "Protector of the AUs" (maybe partly because if the script bit get mentioned, it is kinda implying there is some kind of fate, and some of the people who could find out about him would go through existential crisis that Ink does not want to have to deal with). But, Dream, as the "Guardian of Positivity" cannot disreguard people that are currently suffering neither. It goes against everything he is trying to do (spreading posivity and all). Which makes me think that both of the Dreamtale twins must be technically causing a lot of overwork to Ink, who has to fix whatever they did (surely he focus on Nightmare because he is the most problematic, which can be seen as a mercy toward Dream, since he is working so hard for his own job) Hell, Ink surely started working in the Star Sans with Dream to make sure Dream stay alive, because if Dream dies (in the Bad ending of Dreamtale) Positivity dissapears forever. So, yeah... pretty bad and a big problem for Ink's job.
I really dislike how Joku handled this. Joku did this because they were mad at myebi for not wanting to ship Drink even though Myebi was completely okay with Joku shipping it, Myebi just didn't want it to be canon. So what did Joku do ? She used her character to spit at Myebi ! She demonized Ink using Dream. In my opinion, Dream isn’t the kind of person to just give up. Stop being lazy because you have your biases Joku, portray your character right. Ink follow the plotline, he protects the creations because he needs them to feel, to exist. Do you know what happen in canon when Ink runs out of emotions ? He sort of dies. He becomes a husk. He is empty, but not malicious or evil. Just empty. Like dead, but alive. Everytime he takes his vials again, he regain life and emotions. That's why he needs those creations, for survival. That, and he genuiely get excited and interested over them. He isn't bad, he doesn't do this to hurt people, that's why he is Neutral Chaotic, Not Evil Chaotic. He's a chaotic character but not a bad intentioned one. Contrarly to undeverse interpretations. It's not her first time using art to take revenge either. When she stopped shipping Drink, she commissioned an artist, who was her friend at the time, to make Palette, a ship child the artist girlfriend's gifted to Joku, make a comic about Palette complaining that Cross stole his mommy ( Dream). Because Joku shipped Cream at one point. Yeah.

I love more cannon vids about UnderTale & it's AU's, like, Ink, for instants. though I could see that another reason for Dream disbanding the Star Sanses is, Ink mentally @bu$3s the two since he doesn't see how he's hurting them emotionally. without a soul he tore apart long ago, he can't tell if he is doing anything remotely wrong. Dream is disgusted by these actions, but dare not do anything about it, scared if it might hurt Ink by doing so. but after this display of pure cruel actions from the guardian, it pushes Dream to finally put a knot in the rope & move on to help others...on his own. the days & nights might make him remember the friends he has lost. but.. there's always more...right..? aaah. I'm too dark for my own good, help-
