Finally some information- I’ve seen so many people make it seem like Dream was neglectful. It’s nice to see a video that has the canon facts. Dream also had one friend named Neil. He is a cat monster who lost his family and arm in a house fire. He had learned that other villagers knew what was going on yet never helped, causing him to lash out at them. He was now an outcast from the village. Dream had met him in the forest, having been thinking that nobody was far out enough to see him crying. Neil was building a cottage at the time as well. Dream could tell that Neil needed genuine help, so he did so even if Neil was annoyed of him at first. After a while, Neil began to call him nicknames, sometimes referring to him as his son. He knew about Nightmare, but could never meet him due to being an outcast. Right before the apple incident, Dream had given him a lead from an apple. This leaf allowed him to live on into a few years before Dream would be freed from prison. Now on the apple incident itself. At one point, Nightmare didn’t acknowledge Dream anymore. He didn’t read either, just staying silent and staring off into the distance. Dream knew something was wrong by now and tried to stay with him as much as possible, even when some villagers were trying to get him to leave and help them with stuff. This lasted about a month I believe. The only reason Dream left, was to go to apologize to Neil for his sudden disappearance. The next thing he knew, the sky was darkening. Something was wrong. Dream ran back and against the feeling in his gut, Neil didn’t follow. Not immediately. Neil got to the scene when Dream was turned into a statue. He got to see Nightmare leave the area, but that is it. He came back every day to check on Dream, looking for a way to bring him back. This is the most I can remember right now. Oh, and Lanny hates Nightmare and Dream. She blames Nim’s death on their existence.

True since in one of the latest underverse épisode, when dream was fighting killer Killer was crushing his skull on the goop nightmare filled the area with starting to make his face melt

Another canon fact about Dream: As most of us know, Dream "soul" is a Golden apple, but canonically he doesn't has a soul, because since it's an apple, he doesn't has any human or monster soul, so we can say that Dream is a soulless monster like Ink.

to qualify as a disney princess, the actual req is to wear a dress other young girls or boys can wear and have an animal companion check the OFFICIAL disney princesses they all wear dresses and have animal companions so hes not a disney princess just a disney princess

4:07 Error does not destroy universes to keep them balanced. Actually there was never anything that lead us to believe that the multiverse could be unbalanced. Error’s goals are to completely eradicate every anomaly he sees. He could care less about the balance of the multiverse since his soul trait is determination. This is simply an assumption since Geno had determination within soul and if you see the Error comic dub he doesn’t care how long it will take him as long as he destroys everything. He is a creature of pure malice despite hellishly cute. I just wanted to clear that one up.
If you go to the deviantart link in the description, and search for that one fact, it will say something similar to that, and in parentheses it says "at least, from Joku's perspective". Joku sees the Multiverse this way. I'm sorry I didn't add that, I guess it could be confusing. But there you go, your answer. :)
@@_ray___ Ink and Error don't have reasons to exist. They just do. The multiverse existed fine before Ink became the protector, now it's just more secure. The multiverse was fine before Error began destroying. He doesn't do it for any sense of balance, simply out of pure malice.
@@just_a_stranger683 Error destroys the universes because he "believes its his job" or something like that, and when people try to convince him its not, he won't believe them- so there's not use trying to convince him the opposite.
Geno has determination? In my theory, Geno was already glitched and he became worse when he fell in anti void. Remember that load screen is only designed for players and Geno somehow teleports in through determination. Because of this, his physical is "frozen" as his stats never changed upon taking damage.
I have a few other facts! Nightmare wasn’t the only one who was going through hard times, in fact, the villagers forced Dream to do things for them (Basically the villagers took advantage of Dream and Nightmare). But they both never told anybody. Dream sometimes left the village to cry and let out his emotions so nobody would know. There are 4 current endings to Dreamtale. Bad, Good, Neutral, and True. If Nightmare or Dream fulfill their true power, they will look more humanoid. There is a slight chance for Dream to get old Nightmare back, but it would kill Dream in the process. The dude who “killed” Nim also kind of “possessed” the tree, and was the one who encouraged Nightmare to eat the apples. Lanny hates Dream and Nightmare. She blames them for Nim’s death. Neil sees Dream like his lost son. Thus why he calls him kid and stuff like that. Neil is Dream’s first true friend. Those are all the facts I remember rn lol. I might come back to put more
There’s other one that it’s really sad but pretty at the same time, books at that time were really valious, so the villagers gave books to Dream just to “buy” him to make their favors. Dream didn’t knew how to read at that time, so he gave the books to Nightmare, and by seeing that he liked them, he started making more favors for books, he didn’t care if he was stressed, it was all to make his brother happy

When I wrote that Dream and Nightmare are biological brothers, I meant Dream and Passive, since Corrupted and Passive are not in any way the same person, but Joku has stated that she feels uncomfortable with Dreammare and sometimes regrets saying Corrupted and Dream aren't brothers, so yeah, that's pretty much a reason to not ship Dreammare. Also, you're welcome! I just thought it was necessary for people to know these things, since I was very surprised when I found out people believed the fanon stuff, and not the canon one. ^^'' But anyways, thank you for your comment!

A "parasite" is a living creature from the void/anti void that takes control of another living creature to use as a host. It completely destroys the host's memories and thoughts and uses it as puppet until the host collapses and/or dies and finds another. Fresh sans is a parasite, the parasite is fresh and took over the body of a sans it came across.

Yep, and as much as I love shattered dream, he can never be canon. Because Dream can’t physically touch a black apple, it’d turn golden, and even if he could, The second he’ll eat it he’ll die instantly either becoming dust or he’ll just explode and drop the golden apple since both dream and nightmare are technically celestial beings created by Nim.
I’m so glad for this because people fanonized the fandom so much, you can’t even tell if somethings from the original story or if it’s from their au or it.

I know that this is not all the facts, but something that's bothers me in every canon video for DT, is that they never include papyrus. Last year I read an article by dreamtales creator, and it said that dream always felt lonely because nightmare never hung out with him (before corruption) so the tree made a papyrus for dream. I don't know if the article still exists or if the article is still canon

The fact that people are so stubborn when it comes to what is cannon in dreamtale or not bugs me, it is like "you got to be kinding me right,? Especially when people ignore the fact that Joku confirmed their age and they have even confirmed a dream sans personality as matured and joku themselves said they were 502 years old [as of now, they should he 506-508] so it is like AAAAAAAA
Also I think if Dream met or was told about Fgod Dream, he'd be incredibly disappointed/angry/upset. Fgod Dream is the total opposite of his original counterpart: he's naive, aggressive (at times, beyond what is necessary, like Fgod Ink), and genuinely ignorant. None of the characters in the Fgod Multiverse are good, not even Error, not Dream, or Nightmare. They've all done horrible things, but what makes them likeable is how they deal with their past actions. Error and Nightmare (fgod) take full responsibility for their past actions. In most fics I've read, Nightmare regrets what he's done and is a pretty chill dude. And Error thinks of himself as a monster who shouldn't have friends. Which is sad, but understandable, because, he *has* done bad things. But he recognizes it and very much hates himself for his actions and regrets it. But he has to because if he does not then his multiverse will destroy itself, killing everyone in it.
“What takes three hours to heal, will take him one hour.” But that means it’s a pretty fast healing process, no? I’m guessing there’s a missing word somewhere but I’d like some clarification for that if someone could. I’d go searching myself but I’m too tired to right now
It is fast, but I'm pretty sure that Joku meant that it isn't THAT fast, since when someone says "healing powers" people tends to think about like, it heals in 5 seconds, or something like that. Hope that helped :)

DreamTale is honestly amazing and I wish people would take more a look into it, especially dream and not be so obsessed with shattered (no offense to shattered dream) Characters can be interesting without being evil, I feel like some don’t understand that :’)
Yeah, I honestly don't like Shattered very much. He doesn't really make sense to me and people sometimes makes really cringy things, it just makes you stop wanting to learn more about the character itself :( And I think you're right about the characters being able to be interesting without being evil. I found the doc and the da page while researching for a fic and I’m so happy someone made it into a video!!! So many people hate Dream from misinformation and haven’t really seen the canon story comic/go off of other sources. Wow joku seems really fond of myths and mythologies!! I think if people dont like the canon (bcs sometimes its can be alot to take) try mixing with some hcs or fanons facts that arent too much out of character. I also really hated the fact some ppl make nim abusive bcs in reality she really isnt it.

@@_ray___ Ink and Error don't have reasons to exist. They just do. The multiverse existed fine before Ink became the protector, now it's just more secure. The multiverse was fine before Error began destroying. He doesn't do it for any sense of balance, simply out of pure malice.

Geno has determination? In my theory, Geno was already glitched and he became worse when he fell in anti void.
Remember that load screen is only designed for players and Geno somehow teleports in through determination. Because of this, his physical is "frozen" as his stats never changed upon taking damage.

Nightmare wasn’t the only one who was going through hard times, in fact, the villagers forced Dream to do things for them (Basically the villagers took advantage of Dream and Nightmare). But they both never told anybody.
Dream sometimes left the village to cry and let out his emotions so nobody would know.
There are 4 current endings to Dreamtale. Bad, Good, Neutral, and True.

When I wrote that Dream and Nightmare are biological brothers, I meant Dream and Passive, since Corrupted and Passive are not in any way the same person, but Joku has stated that she feels uncomfortable with Dreammare and sometimes regrets saying Corrupted and Dream aren't brothers, so yeah, that's pretty much a reason to not ship Dreammare.

A "parasite" is a living creature from the void/anti void that takes control of another living creature to use as a host. It completely destroys the host's memories and thoughts and uses it as puppet until the host collapses and/or dies and finds another. Fresh sans is a parasite, the parasite is fresh and took over the body of a sans it came across.

I know that this is not all the facts, but something that's bothers me in every canon video for DT, is that they never include papyrus. Last year I read an article by dreamtales creator, and it said that dream always felt lonely because nightmare never hung out with him (before corruption) so the tree made a papyrus for dream. I don't know if the article still exists or if the article is still canon

Also I think if Dream met or was told about Fgod Dream, he'd be incredibly disappointed/angry/upset.
Fgod Dream is the total opposite of his original counterpart: he's naive, aggressive (at times, beyond what is necessary, like Fgod Ink), and genuinely ignorant. None of the characters in the Fgod Multiverse are good, not even Error, not Dream, or Nightmare. They've all done horrible things, but what makes them likeable is how they deal with their past actions.
Error and Nightmare (fgod) take full responsibility for their past actions. In most fics I've read, Nightmare regrets what he's done and is a pretty chill dude. And Error thinks of himself as a monster who shouldn't have friends. Which is sad, but understandable, because, he *has* done bad things. But he recognizes it and very much hates himself for his actions and regrets it. But he has to because if he does not then his multiverse will destroy itself, killing everyone in it.
“What takes three hours to heal, will take him one hour.” But that means it’s a pretty fast healing process, no? I’m guessing there’s a missing word somewhere but I’d like some clarification for that if someone could. I’d go searching myself but I’m too tired to right now
It is fast, but I'm pretty sure that Joku meant that it isn't THAT fast, since when someone says "healing powers" people tends to think about like, it heals in 5 seconds, or something like that. Hope that helped :)

So many people hate Dream from misinformation and haven’t really seen the canon story comic/go off of other sources. I even learned some new things about the other trees here ^^ great summary video for people to reference!
