Doubles and triples are used when a long 48 or 53 would otherwise have troubles with the route. They are often used on routes that have winding roads. They will off-track less and play follow the leader around turns making it easier to make tighter turns, this makes them nice for winding roads that longer trailers have trouble with. Essentially you are pulling a 22ft trailer with a long tail but your main offset is at 22ft, not 53. So OB had it easier that trip with making turns. The issue with multiple trailers is trying to reverse as the rear trailer can have a mind of its own so most drops are multiple steps of drop and hook which is also why the game only has a few options on the parking for tandems.
Any chance that you lot can/ will try ETS2 (Euro Truck Simulator 2)? Exploring different parts of the UK and different countries in Europe. The truck are a bit different. I don't know if ATS had any RHD trucks or if they're just LHD but ETS2 has both.
When Camodo told OB that there's a plane crashed beside the road(in game), the plane crash is referred to the recent plane crash in Malaysian highway that caused 10 deaths (1 pilot, 5 plane passengers, 1 biker and 3 people in a car) few days ago (real life)
Well technically he's named after the seat of an adult potty cos a commode is a chair with a hole in it in which you have a bowl sat to catch the, er, leavings from the user, and, the O part is the seat, of course... :P
