Good morning y’all. Good luck with hunting deer this season. Also, I bought your cookbook a few months back and I’m just noticing I’ve been spelling your name wrong all this time. Also, noticed a lot of folks are spelling your name wrong in the comments. And you are so sweet and kind hearted, I know you would never correct us. SO TO EVERYONE THAT DIDN’T KNOW, THE CORRECT SPELLING IS MEAGAN. ❤

Good luck Megan! Can't wait to see what ya find to harvest. I agree, should never hunt for just antlers, but I'm still hoping you get a big 200 plus, just for bragging rights and to show that women can hunt too! Lol

❤ I do love y’all channel! Real folks surviving.
My husband and I have always deer hunted to supplement our meat source. We process our harvest. We actually eat more venison than beef. It’s a way of life that unless you live it you don’t understand it.
Good luck Megan! I hope you “tag out”. Can’t wait to see future canning venison videos.

I still hunt on occasion but haven't regularly since I was pregnant with Hudson. I miss it. We don't have anywhere convenient to hunt anymore so that hinders it but I sure would love to hunt more.

Nothing like siting in the deer stand enjoying the sights & sounds of God’s awesome creation. I agree that doe meat tastes better than buck meat to. When I was younger I use to hunt for that nice rack buck and killed my share, but now I hunt mostly for the meat. Thanks for sharing. 😊😊🦌🦌👍🏻👍🏻

We also hunt deer to supplement our protein. Although we do not care how many points a buck has, we never kill doe. We have plenty bucks around, and leave the doe to have more babies.

Welcome back to hunting! ❤ Good luck with that stand. I found at 50, I had no desire to sit that high up , on a swivel boat seat and try to shot without falling off. No thanks 😂 so I bought me a clearance pop up blind ❤ I love playing the game with deer, “of who can smell who first” 😂😂

I grew up eating fried deer tenderloin in biscuits. And I agree that doe meat is way better than buck. That’s a cool deer stand and I love hearing the stream, it would put me to sleep. So relaxing.

Y’all are doing so good with this TH-cam thing. Good luck from a few miles west of you. I tried tillage/daikon radish’s for a cover crop in a few garden spots this year and the lack of rain is making it hard for them to stay ahead of the deer pressure.

It's comforting to have the skills and resources to be able to procure meat for a person's family. God put animals on the earth for man's (and woman's) use. Whether that use is to supply beauty and variety, labor, or food. Animals are truly a blessing. I don't believe we should kill them just for the thrill of killing something. But I'll never feel guilty for taking an animal's life to provide nourishment or to protect my herd. Keep up the good work folks.

Well you are hunting for the right reason I don't hunt myself because I don't like deer meat. I have tried it fixed several different ways and I just don't like it. But like they say to each their own.

You're right a doe taste way better soda won and two spikes but you'll one and two spikes are your most producing animals a buck will produce way more babies than one dough will one dough only produces two to three deer a year a buck produces way more because it has more women lucky maybe not but anyway a lot of people are against hunting those but I have never been against hunting those because your ones and two spikes are your most producing animals because they stay all around the outskirts and get the dose while the big buck is busy and a big buck is tougher meat so I like about a three point sometimes a 1 spike and yes I got head mounted on my wall that's just because it walked out in front of me I'm a meat hunter not a horn hunter used to be when I was young a hornhunter but after that no I don't hunt much anymore because it's too much money and my freezer is too full and I only have to feed myself but when I hunt I hunt for black bear and deer but I used to just do it all in one trip take time off work go hunting for two months get all my salmon my crab my cod my dear and my bear and my birds and anything else I could eat shantaram mushrooms

If I had my own land I would be hunting deer mostly all year round whenever I needed to eat it 22 rifle does not make much sound and I have dropped a deer with a 20 rifle at 100 yards just shooting right behind the ear they dropped like flies don't do a heart shot that always means you got to chase them down later I've always done head shots drops them like a rock if you have a bow yes you have to you heart shot
