The fact that's she's never lived in an english speaking country yet she speaks it so well.
Yeah, that is really impressive. She has clearly worked very hard at removing a Japanese accent from her English and making herself sound like she grew up in the US or Canada. Did she go to an English language school in Japan or get extensive private tutoring, because her English sounds too good to be just from the typical school system.

Most international schools have a lot of English speaking children of ex-pats, or the kids have been learning English as their second language for years, so they are either fluent or at least highly competent. Obviously that give you a big assist in learning when you have lots of people to practice with and they likely aren't judging your English, making you nervous about using it, because they are struggling to learn your native language.

Her English skills are top notch. I always find it impressive when the accent isn’t as strong in English. My parents have lived in the states for over half their lives and their accents are still very strong
i guess since she learned english young she was able to adapt an american accent (since i think she went to an american style english school). its hard to loose some habits when ure older so it make sense why ur parents still have an accent
Giselle might... just MIGHT be up there as the most American-sounding KPop idol that has not lived in America. On top of the fluency behind the accent too.
Of the idols with impeccable Western English accents I can think of:
Jessica/Krystal/Tiffany were all born in California.
Jennie is definitely fluent, but if I'm talking American accents, she doesn't quite count as she has an NZ one.
Rose, Felix and the other SKZ Aussie line are of course, from Australia.
Dita (Secret Number), an Indonesian, ALMOST counts, but she went to college in the US. The other English line of SN were also born in the US.
I'm genuinely curious if anyone even comes close. Giselle's accent was just from Japan schooling and Netflix lol. Amazing.
To be fair, it wasn’t regular Japan school. She went to an international school where it was mostly taught in American English.
Edit: it is extremely common for international school students to be more fluent in English than what is supposed to be their native language. Source: friend from Spain who has never been outside of Spain but speaks American English perfectly and better than spanish.
In my opinion lisa sounds American. She forgets some words but is mostly really good

As a person who uses a lot of English and it’s my second language, and as a person who cares a lot of about pronunciation, I’m so jealous of Giselle being able to pronounce so clearly. Like I can still tell her pronunciation is adopted and learned but it’s just so good and I wish I speak like that.
