This seems to be the best and proven layout. I see it a lot. Probably due to the amount of storage and mechanical space it provides. The bed has a garage under it, the benches have batteries, pumps, filters and other mechanical systems tucked away there. The dining area floor is also elevated for other systems below it. Makes a lot of sense to me as how to layout the systems.
Your truck is affordable, easy to repair and will give you much adventure and pleasure, simple is best, complicated systems and offroad don't mix well. Yours is EMP and CME proof.
