I really like your style and attention to functionality. I am glad to have found your channel, I am learning a lot. Your expedition videos are also nice, without drama or empty filler content. I especially like the Mongolia series, as it is my goal as well!
I think you inspired me and many others to diy adventure vehicles out of your determination. Surprisingly you’re doing a great job with many of your builds. Thanks for sharing wish you all the best. By the what is the dimensions of the habitat box for 8-136?
Nice windows and one helluva glue gun! I can understand the preference for motorsport windows ( lovely as they are), I have just fit seitz to my small 36 year old van as they are ideal for my needs. Must be small, double glazed, sliding, bug net and blackout blinds built in and spare parts available....plus the fact that I had never heard of motorsport windows before this video. That is also a very good awning, love the contrasting colour and the hard shell. I pronounce Thule as you do. However yesterday whilst watching an overland van build sponsored by Thule it was pronounced .... Two Lay. Who am I to argue, they were the sponsors :-) I'm blind, I can't see a link to your website. keep those vidz coming, as time consuming as they are, we enjoy them and blatantly steal your stuff for our own builds.
Hi Buckaroo. Thanks for the kind words. Its comments like this that keep me making them. The windows are built by Motorcraft, As much as i dislike the Seitz windows they do have their place. Glass windows are heavy. When building a camper and trying to stay under 3.5 Ton the Seitz windows make perfect sense. Every kg matters. I had forgotten to add the link but it should be there now.
Thanks Matt. I will undoubtedly swap out the windows on my 80 camper some time as I have the same ones you have taken out.... very poor quality security wise.
Hi Paul, As I said to Joel in the above comment. If you buy your Motorcraft windows through me I can get you a 5% discount. When spending a few thousand can save you a few hundred £
Great video mate! I somehow missed the name of the brand of windows? Can you pass along? I’m getting close to installing mine, but outbound are a bit pricey, but nice. EDIT: never mind! ha ha I see it’s motor craft. Thanks!
Hi Joel, yes Motorcraft. I do also have a prototype skylight from them which I will be installing soon. If you buy your Motorcraft windows through me I can get you a 5% discount for you. If you go direct let them know where you heard about there windows. Helps me to build stronger relationship with them.
Matthew Payne | Adventurer | Filmmaker I’ll be sure to mention you or go through you directly. Thanks! I am in US so I hope that doesn’t matter. Now searching for their website, assuming they have one.
The 2 you see together in the side of the truck are £850 each with internal blind. This does seem a lot but when you compare them to the alternatives of the same / similar standard then are are more attractively priced.
Hi Scott. In this case they were already together. It was a project someone had already started. Are you in the UK? Motorcraft in Doncaster will make you a box and fit it to your truck. They actually made this one. If you contact them let them know I sent you. Helps me in building a good relationship with them.
Hi Matt, I wish you hadn’t made this vlog, I was trying to not go down this road with my windows 🤦♂️, side note, where’s the vid on the over cab roof rack finish and install?
Hi William. Roof rack finishing is still to come. At the moment the roof rack is just perched up on the roof. I am currently working on bars that go up the corners of the box, a ladder and front bars connecting to the roof rack. May be the next video.

I would want you to build the box for me, I find you very trustworthy and reliable!

Hello, is technicaly posible to increase distance between axle or maybe to add another axle ? Amazing what you do !!!
Yes very possible.
Nice Vid. Is the narrower truck chassis a better idea?
Any updates on the progress of the build Matt?
Would you recommend a 8.136 as a base for a overlander? Something else?
@@colincarver893 seems a good truck but the 8.150 is probably better. But less of them around. The Daf T244 is a great choice.
👍👍👍
Love you

Hi Matthew, did you buy the truck with the back in or did you source them separately?
Thanks
