Great reaction (subscribed). Train to Busan is a classic and glad you found it! I know that sometimes its hard for reactors to dip into foreign films. Keep doing what you are doing, but if you are interested, let me recommend some Korean movies you might be interested in. I heard you are doing horror for October so I would DEFINITELY recommend The Wailing. Don't walk - run and watch it! :) I'm not sure what your past experience is with Asian movies. I myself was born/live in the USA but my family is Korean so I watch a lot of Asian stuff. As such I try to get my American friend into some of these great films, but I have learned that not everything translates well and cultural differences can be a big barrier. So here are some Korean movies that might be a good jumping off point especially for Western audiences. Parasite of coarse is good place to start. Also, the director of Parasite other movies are great - I would recommend Snowpiercer, The Host and Memories of Murder. If you are looking for more horror or intense action and drama - check out Old Boy, The Man from Nowhere, and I Saw the Devil. Anyways good luck, great channel, keep it up.
@who cares Korean film has outshone Hollywood for at least 10-15 years imo to the point I just don't bother with stuff from the USA anymore - admittedly throwing out the wheat with the chaff - but there's so much of the latter
Tim: Can we kill him please? me: Yes, but not yet. We need to kill everyone else first, ONLY THEN we can kill him... but just to be extra we're gonna give one heartbreaking scene(okay, two heartbreaking scene but still) In all seriousness though, I really love this movie and I'm glad you reacted and enjoyed this movie
The daughter is a fantastic actress. This whole movie is a gem that people often miss because they expect just another zombie film. The old woman didn't lose her friend, it was her sister who was bitten. Makes it even sadder.
Shotguns= too slow Pistols= low caliber and not enough ammo Melee= I don’t need to explain this Flamethrowers= They’ll probably run through the flame Sniper= Also don’t need to explain this
Have you considered watching Kingdom, the Korean series in Netflix? It’s also about zombies but in the Joseon era. Basically a historical time period. It’s insane, I swear. Pretty sure you’ll love that and I hope you’ll consider adding it to the list! That show’s a masterpiece 💯
Love you as the world ends is in Japan also a zombie romance film, it's about a couple that got separated from the zombie outbreak in Miura City, Timothee, I recommend watching it is so good. There is 2 seasons to love you as the world ends. I also recommend Dark Hole, a korean zombie film. It's about where a mysterious black smoke is turning people into mutants (zombies) that actually kills people instead of infecting them. When they breathe in black smoke, they turn into mutants and then they start to beat normal people to death. It's like fighting in normal life. It's about a women detective is from Seoul( she is the protagonist) that is trying to stop the crisis with her friends. You will found out soon. I also recommend watching Squid Game it's so good. Dark Hole and Squid Game both have 1 season. Good Luck Timothee!!
Train to Busan is a masterpiece. This and dawn of the dead are my favorite zombie movies of all time. I would recommend watching it's sequel peninsula. It's not as great as the first one but it's still pretty good.
@@phousefilms correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they meant shawn of the dead, which is a comedy sort of zombie movie and is ALSO a part of the cornetto trilogy which I recc for everyone!! Hot fuzz is my fave lol
Now you've got to checkout the Kingdom on Netflix. It's set in the 1600s in Korea about a zombie infection that takes hold. There's so much political intrigue to it and amazing worldbuilding. If you loved Train to Busan, then you'll love the Kingdom.
This is such an emotional roller coaster of a film! I don't think I'v seen a reaction from you as invested in the story and the people as this one! Great commentary and reaction, keep em coming and thanks
A TH-cam recommendation, I clicked on the link and, as expected, this South Korean movie didn't disappoint. I HATE Zombie movies, but I was hooked after the Deer got back up. What followed was a roller coaster ride through Fear, Dread, Anger, then Sorrow. Kudos to the writer, director, actors, and especially the stunt performers for creating a modern classic. I've heard/read that Hollyweird is going to remake this movie; good luck with that, Soykids. I've seen this movie via movie reactors multiple times, and it's still an emotionally draining ride...that I look forward to each time.;) It has Everything that Hollyweird thinks is Old Hat/Not Hip: character development, a solid story line, and, like any good foreign language film, stays in your mind long after the credit crawl.
From an emotional standpoint its kinda fitting that he went out sacrificing himself(something he never would have done ib the beginning of the movie) fighting the type of man he could have and most likely would have eventually become but he was influenced by the father-to-be. I also find it fitting and extremely enjoyable that the main character wasnt the hero like hollywood movies tend to do..... They didnt even do the reluctant leader trope that we get alot in these types of movies and they made you feel like you kinda didnt care for him but throughout the movie his emotional/moral and believable story arc makes you saddened when he dies.
Seok_woo(main protagonist)..now we got to know why he's always in train station...he's in search of players to play Squid Game! THis time he got stuck in apocalypse!xD🤘
The selfless baseball guy and the cheerleader girl, the grandma sisters who were both disappointed of people's selfishness and letting themselves to be brainwashed by the selfish man, which made one sister think that this people doesn't deserve to be safe so she did was to open the door for all people inside to die. The conductor's braveness for still doing his job, still announcing the survivors to where they should ride and go next, and still trying his best to bring them to the safest place, being selflessness for saving this selfish man but ended up betrayed. Father-to-be's braveness and sacrifices and being a good character since the beginning. The dad who's being selfish in the beginning but ended up saving lives and sacrificing himself, whatta great character development. The homeless guy who saved lives not just once, but twice. First when he covered a cloth to the zombie's head who's attacking Gong Yoo's character (dad of the little girl), second when he sacrificed his life for the pregnant woman and the little girl. And the most vulnerable but also selfless people who the only ones that survived, the pregnant woman and the little girl. Little did she know that finishing the song she practiced to sing for her dad saved their lives. I think she remembered his dad's advice to her back when they were in their car, on the way to the train that whatever she does, always finish what she started. Seems like her dad is still protecting her 'til the end of the movie. These are my favorite Protagonists in this movie ❤️ The Antagonist's performance was sooo good too tho. He really made himself freaking annoying in this movie, that majority of the viewers want to punch his face in the screen. Hahaha! What a great film. My number 1 favorite zombie movie because it's not just a typical horror movie, I know y'all know what I mean hehe! ^___^ The makers of the film, the Actors. They all deserve an Award for this masterpiece. ❤️
Glad you got to this. I’ve never been big on foreign films (especially in languages I don’t know) but I’m a big Zombie fan. I saw this pop up on Netflix a while back and couldn’t find anything else to watch. So I check it out and now consider it my favorite zombie flick.
One point touched on is other species can be infected. If that were applied to something like insects, game over, humans are done. Mosquitos carrying that would be almost impossible to contain.
Baseball guy (Wooshik) and Pregnant lady (Yumi) are both in Parasite movie too. They’re together also in variety show summer vacation and youns stay with Park Seojun (Itaewon Class) and Parasite cameo too.
The scene when they told the new survivors to stay at another car is painfully realistic. That's the reason why quarantine exists when unfortunate outrage or pandemic happen. I think if I'm at their places (hopefully would never), I would just open the door for them because I don't think I can hold myself after listening to how desperate they were trying to break open the door. But then I would ask them to go to another car just for safety, because at that time those people don't know (or probably couldn't think straight) that the infection spread quite fast and it is less likely for the new survivors to be infected if they already spent hours knocking and breaking the door. By the way, I think the "captain" (I don't know if that's what he should be called but he was the one who controlled the train) has the most "useless" death. He was literally the most likely person to survive for the entire journey to consider that he hadn't been in contact with anyone in the train but then he was sacrificed, yet still the one who betrayed him died at the last. I was very frustrated when he got down to help that selfish man.
Agreed. It's played like a seriously messed up mob-mentality thing, but in reality, if you don't know the vectors of infection, keeping possibly infected people away from the rest is a fairly safe tactic. The only reason this was played as a bad thing was because it was Yong-Suck that suggested it.
Way to kick off this month with this masterpiece Tim. Never in my life have I seen a zombie story that made me cry as much as this one did especially the ending. I felt sorry for all the main characters in this. Well, almost all the main characters lol. Another great zombie/infected type film you should check out if you haven't is 28 Days Later and it also has the super fast infected.
Another Korean zombie movie with an interesting premise is #Alive. A lot of people say they would try to wait out a zombie outbreak, bunkered up in their apartment, but movies never really show that side. #Alive does.
YES!! Finally! What a film! And loooove your reaction! That ending man… I cried for days… you should definitely check “Let the right one in” a Swedish movie and a cult classic and “Pan’s Labyrinth” a Spanish/Mexican movie and a masterpiece from Guillermo del Toro! YOU WILL LOVE THEM!

This is such an amazing movie, made me cry so much! (not that it is too difficult anyway lol) and I believe I would have a fair chance against slow zombies, like in The walking dead but with fast zombies like this, I would've died within the first 10 min after encountering the first one lol
I gotta say, this film has got to be the best zombie movie anyone has ever watched in a long time. By one of my favourites. You should watch its sequel, Peninsula. Its not as good as the first one but its still pretty cool.

please consider this too! this is also a Korean movie. The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion amazing actors as always and you'll also see that baseball guy..
You should do a reaction/review of the new muppet halloween special ,"Muppets Haunted Mansion" which is set to premiere this friday, October 8th on Disney+.
So something I noticed is an underlying issue of classism. At the beginning of the movie, they treated the homeless man like a problem and wanted get rid of him. The Lady who snuck on board was treated like a passenger and nobody asked for her ticket. The whole movie the Father was treating the situation like his business, looking after himself and his interest, while all the people he tried to leave behind went out of their way to help him. Near the end he realizes, if it weren't for those people, he would have ended up just like the old man.
Really enjoyed your reaction, this movie is great. I really love south Korean movies. You should watch "Salinui chueok (Memories of Murder)", same director as parasites! 😊
LMAO Tim when you said 'Oh, deer' I actually went _BA DOOM, TSSS!_ 😆 and then that look you gave, hahahaha hilarious 😆 -And yup, at the end she finished the song for her dad.
This is a great movie the pacing the story and emotions they handled it well in the end i am cryed when the dad remembering holding his child in his arm and died and always I love your reaction ❤ .
"i have seen zero zombie movies".... O_o whats wrong with you? ... 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, World War Z, The Girl with All the Gifts, Zombie land, none of those? ... you have a long way a head of you of pure epicness dude

Fun fact the father is in the slapping scene in squid game and the daughter is a player🤣
The main character (father) in train to busan is in the squid game! Who hits the gi hun's chick at the train station
The main character servieved he is in squid game now
Ma Dong-Seok (the big strong man who is the MVP of the entire movie) is gonna play one of the main characters in Marvel's Eternals!
Well I guess actors can't always be in decent films - personally i'd advise any Korean actor to avoid Hollywood like the plague atm

I still cry, and I've seen this movie like 10 times.

The worst part about fast zombies it that it makes at least 50% of all weapon classes ineffective or useless

The whole movie the Father was treating the situation like his business, looking after himself and his interest, while all the people he tried to leave behind went out of their way to help him. Near the end he realizes, if it weren't for those people, he would have ended up just like the old man.
Yes! Best movie to start for October! I love this movie a lot!
It really is!
Please react Old boy, which is one of the best thriller ever made.

Incredible movie. I particularly don’t like foreign movies, especially with subtitles, but this one is an exception.
Watch more Foreign language movies; your world will be expanded in ways you can't imagine.;)
Thanks, Timothee! 🧟♀️+🚄=💥 I love this one... haven't seen the sequel, but respected reviews say it's not as impressive.
