    i found an easier way to get me and my bike over a high obstacle:
    1. Step off your bike
    2. Grab bike wind up and spin 360 degrees and throw your bike over obstacle
    3. Climb over obstacle

    Have not seen anyone else point out bringing your chest down to the bar when compressing / preloading, and when shoving the bars forward. I'm finding that so helpful to pay attention to when working on bunny hops. Thanks Phil!

      I can bunnyhop on my hardtail but have a really hard time hopping my dh bike. It it possible that my slow rebound (i ride flats and love to plow through rough stuff) takes the energy out of my hop? Suspension is made to keep you in place so it probably doesnt really help when going tricks and bunny hops.

      any time, how did the tips work our for you?

    • @schralebaas
      @schralebaas 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Phil Kmetz MTB Well, I primarily was focused on getting all those steps done into one single, fluid motion. But noticed -after I recorded several attempts- that my initiation (and therefore overal height) could use some work. Now I know it needs more chest lowering and more drive from my hips. Just as some of the examples in this video. So it was very helpful.

    This was the most informative description of what to do that I have seen! Thanks you have answered a few questions I have had about trying to get more height. I am in the camp of extending my legs with my arms, apparently I am using my legs to get the front wheel up higher which is limiting my ability to get back up and explode the hips forward! Gotta go out and practice now! Thanks!
