My whole reason I voted the way I did was to get a shield grow, but now I’m going to skip
no way I'm doing this fusion. Intercept is a cool mechanic, and if you make him fast enough he could spread this buff onto other champs, but that's not very realistic in end game content. I think he's a mid-tier champ which can help people somewhat on their account, but honestly Scyl of the Drakes is way better at doing this. Hard pass for me.
I already made the choice that I’m skipping this one. This showcase just reinforced my decision. I finally got brogni recently so I’m content with his shield growth.
Not saying you should change your mind but this really isn't a show case when he is running four man teams, just makes zero sense

I go for any unique fusion, so I'm going for him. Intercept could be important later and while there may be better champs at some point I'll pickup the mostly free one now.

And now we see he can make an infinity clan boss team prerty easily. Pair up with yannica for an op hydra team. Block sheep with his intecept buff. Who knos what else he will make happen.

I'm under the impression that Plarium doesn't play test their champions when they release them, and rely on the content creators instead. The shield growth issues are hopefully the result of bad math, and will be rectified in an upcoming patch, as opposed to just trying not to have another Brogni/Cadaver scenario. I'll pick him up while he's available, instead of wishing I'd gone for him after he gets a tweak
The only thing that i think could make him even really relevant is if his intercept stops Amius guaranteed sleep. Please HellHades ask this in creator chat!

Wixwell the "Best fusion ever!", "Can't skip!", "Must do" fusion that has been touted for weeks now has really fallen off his perch lol. I said from the beginning that his best place will be for CB for the progressing player to help get a 1/2 key in UNM, which is really, really important for the mid to early late game player, and then in hard/brutal hydra as a Shamael replacement. I so wish CC's will wait until the play testing before super hyping a champ. They never learn, and never will apparently.
I'm glad this vid was made as it showed Wixwell where he'll best be used imo, so well done for that as he's good for sure, but not broken. A solid A tier champ that can be skipped if you already have a 1/2 key UNM CB team, or have little interest in hydra. Arena, he'll not replace any support that cleanses/revives as his shield increase is no Brogni, the intercept will be useful against Armanz but Wukon will just strip it unless you manage to put him in a 6* sheep blessing, and a 9 piece protection set then prey to the RNG gods that he protects that buff. But if you have a 9 piece protection set then you probably already have better champs anyway.
The great unknown ofc is Santranos/Amius. Will he shine there? I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'll get him for my alt account as that is two keying UNM but 3 key on magic affinity he may push it up to a 1/2 key respectively. As for my main, I'll decide over the weekend whether I want to spend the extra time doing it there, but as it's a classic fusion, I doubt I'll want to.
Fck I cant believe I held back from trying to pull Brogni last week just to hold on to resources for this crap...
Then consider yourself lucky, wasting shards on a 15x when you're not a whale is a waste of resources and whereas Brogni is good he's no where near shard wasting value anymore.
TBF it is best to save for a good fusion vs pulling on 2x, 10x, 15x events.
@@aelinstue9431 Lucky how? I would just be using the shards I saved up for a different purpose. Im also f2p and usually only pull shards for fusions and fragments. Rarely do I ever go for the x15 unless its something I really need, and I really need myself a Brogni...
All Im saying is if I had prior knowledge to how bad Wixwell would be, I would've risked a little for Brogni.

He's a Hydra champ. Nub and Ash showcased him into the 300m range. I'm going for him for sure.
Have not seen the fusion yet of course, but him being a champ for the community by the community I do feel like it would have been cool for him to be a fusion like Rhazin and Lady Mikage where everyone in the community could get him guaranteed, just might be over time once you obtain all the necessary champs. But that's just my opinion.
Highly disagree. Not that you cannot make him work but for most rosters he is not needed unless you want to manual hydra.

He is meh for the majority of players and only benefits early/mid game players and even so they will out grow him very quickly. OFC unless you want to manual hydra then he is Great and only falls off in the end game (for Hydra). The reason he is gonna need to be manual is that he will not auto target the provoke on the provoke head.

Its literally a generic block debuffs. I don't understand the hype around this new buff. Elva or pythion or even sepulcher can give you block debuffs which is better.The shield was the thing that had me intrigued and its a big letdown

I completely agree. The actual block debuffs is way more useful. It is not "generic block debuffs" it is a far weaker version with niche uses.
it's the same as taunt, i find it useless over provoke, then there was some use for it in hydra. It has some niche cases and might be useful going forward but yh intercept isn't doing much for me right now
I dont understand why everyone is saying that he needs a buff only because his Shield growth isnt there. In my opinion yes they should up the number on that but here is the list what he is doing and in my opinion is a lot.
Good Shield, Def Up, Aoe Dec Att, Increase Buff duration, Single Target Provoke and CC Protection. ANd maybe later a bit better shield growth.
Great for everyone everywhere till late game and he will make every single Veil Champ in hydra a lot better because he then can protect the Veil Champ from the Fear. it sucks that Tatura has Aoe and maybe misses his Veil because of Fear, same for Firrol. He is going to make Hydra Teams last a lot longer for the people who cant get to turn limit.
You don't understand why people say he needs a buff but agree that he does need one? You could probably phrase that better. I agree he has some uses but his shield in my opinion is weak and he counteracts with Shamael. I'm not saying he's bad, but he's far weaker than anticipated.

To be fair, we asked for great skills. Plarium just made the multipliers garbage. Had we known the multipliers would be this bad, we would have asked for the support skills. Poison exploding and full revive.

For anyone wondering about this dude in Hydra Nubs made an amazing 2 recent fusions 4 epics team using this dude which I’d strongly suggest checking out. Changed my mind about his viability, although I’m not able to do him due to a mix of personal reasons and being quite low on shards due to CB not being too kind.
I bet Plarium will give me Wixwell in future shard pulls just like a few fusions that I skipped. Plarium refuses to give me S-tier pull since 5 years ago.

What do you think are the odds that his shield growth mechanic is bugged and not working as intended (and therefore in line to be fixed in a future patch)?
I think it would've been addressed already as that's the main issue with this champion, without a very good shield growth the champ seems mediocre now

Yea, that shield "growth" mechanic is about as useless as a 15th testicle.
Guess he's useful for keeping the head constantly provoked on Hydra, since he's got a 100% Provoke and an unremovable Counter attack. So he'll basically play ping pong with that head the whole fight and ya dont have to worry about debuffs being cleansed.

Really, thank you for the whole overview with the mid-late perspective. I really wanted to see this. But I feel very disappointed about his shield increase, because that was the main selling point ability, for me at least. I have most areas covered, except for UN CB, where I still struggle with an ally protect team, and that was the area I was mainly hoping he would help me. I am really conflicted about going for him or saving my resources, unlike I was for Armanz, for example, which is hard carrying my account.

Most people in the comments seem to be pretty late-game. For someone that doesn't have a reliable aoe Decrease ATK like me he sounds good enough. I will pair him with Scyl to do Dungeons more confortably.
There are 31 Epics and 23 legos with aoe 50% attack down. Sounds like you are either super early game or haven't payed enough attention to their roster.
Not saying this guy is bas, he's just not a absolute must fuse because he's not currently doing anything most people can do with an average roster.
that debuff is nice but the issue with him is his practicality. Not to mention that debuff alone is not worth all the resources to get him. He will be a carry champion for an early account for sure but he will be out grown into the midgame. Also, there is a ton of champions with decrease attack, I would say if that is your only reason for getting him that he is not worth the resource. OFC this also depends on your spending habits. If free to play and super super early game it is gonna help but it may be worth saving resources for a better fusion.

I'm a mid game player myself. I decided to skip this fusion as soon as his kit was revealed. Idk about Hydra as that's a part of the game I still can't properly participate yet but for everything else he's a bad champion no matter how much do CCs try to sugarcoat it. From what is being shown, Intercept is basically a block debuffs that's not affected by taking turns. Everything in his kit can be done by Epic champions heck even some rares have similar skills to his.
Personally instead of using my gems as energy for fusions I spend them to buy ancient shards and I've managed to grab a lot of good epic champions that way which are way cheaper to max out than he is btw considering how hard to come bylegendary books are.
@@sikusher Gems for energy is important because you gotta get gear, books, and other resources from tournaments and events which will help with overall account progression. Aside from that I agree with your take. Well worded :)
Honestly - I'm conflicted about going for Wixwell now. I mean - I was already disappointed we ended up with an A1 that's good against a whole 1 hydra head and 1 boss instead of poisons that are good everywhere, but that shield to start with let alone it's growth is anemic at best - which was my main selling point for him. And what I'm seeing here - I wouldn't mind as much skipping to better build some resources for the next one maybe and just avoid the headache. But on the other hand - there is the question mark of if it's actually bugged and they fix it later so he's Brogni 2.0 or the shield growth gets buffed with a similar effect after the fact which as someone that doesn't have Brogni (couldn't get that fusion done and no luck on pulls) who is tired of a 2 key at best speed tune that limits some of my best champs speeds - the hope for a fix that opens up a new strategy so I can maybe just 1 key the damn thing (especially on my main that ended up out of a clan and in to one without nightmare/UNM access) is still tempting, to say nothing of use in other content if it works since the main thing holding me back in hard mode dungeons and some newer content is survivability.
For those saying the intercept buff is just a block buffs aren’t paying attention. Block buffs decrease 1 tick when you take a turn, the intercept buff only decreases a tick when it stops a debuff it can block. I think block buffs is better as it blocks all buffs as intercept only blocks things like stun, freeze etc.
Let's just wait for all team intercept champion :)

Have to say I was going to go for this fusion, but he wouldn't do anything for my account but be another Lego I need resources for. Believe I'm skipping this and saving my resources, especially shards, for a chance of maybe pulling Gnut and getting some mythical times to go with the three mythicals I pulled during the 2x
I think he would be a mad pair with Islin in Hydra. He is a decent champ for Hydra, no doubt, but the shield growth doesn't exist. But he could also scre up the Mischief tank with that buff going randomly on someone on auto...
He seems pretty mid but he's got buff extension, will be a good mischief tank and he helps ease the fears from torment with his buff. Nothing great but end game might as well get him and he'll do work in shit city
Acctually i assume lightning cage and bone armor buffs are coded similar to the intercept buff :)
And i lost on a poison activator for a shield growth that barely grows. Of course plarium had to ruin it somehow.

I'm gonna do this fusion. He looks like a good enough champ. Currenly I have a bunch of champs that will get legendary books before him, so he will go into the vault for a while. What I really want to know is wether or not the fusion champ chase or summon rush overlaps with the 2x, and wether there's a progressive. I would love to get a decent chance to pick up a geomancer.

He and FIrrol in hydra. Firrol puts everyone under Veil and Wixvell can protect Firrol and increases the duration of Veil. Wixvell will work great with any Veil champion in Hydra.

This is exactly what I was thinking but I recently got the last epic for mikage so I’ll be taking a rain check on using wiz well for that team and use him in a lower difficulty

Champs like this make me realize I’m late game. Was hoping his multipliers for the shield/shield grow would be better but since they are poopoo I’m saving for a hopeful Wallmaster Othorion guaranteed shard pull. I just have no use for this champion unfortunately.

I'm with some of the others and wonder if there is a bug. That shield growth seemed really low even given you can't increase Intercept duration.
He's A Seeker with Aniri A2, nothing else. I regret saving for this.
Felt like the Intercept should be for all allies on 1 turn and stackable by Wixwell. Single target intercept doesn't feel as good as Block Debuffs, or even Firrol's Increase Resistance.... Kinda disappointed, but will go for him as my collection

Would his intercept nullify wukong’s 3rd attack? If wukong steals buffs first then places block buffs? Honestly that’s the only reason I would even attempt doing this fusion
Intercept only stops debuffs likr stun,sleep etc. And polymorph but not anything like poisons or block buffs and stuff

well this one dont expire when you take turns,...and its targeted for specific debuffs....stun, provoke...i still agree block debuffs is better.
intercept will work against when someone strips all ur buffs and puts a debuff on (armanz or ramantu, maybe amius) and in cases where a buff will go through block debuff like nether spider or head or torment

Seems likely it's bugged to me. Maybe it's not properly taking into account the number of buffs extended. I would hope the current increase is just the increase if a champ only has the shield buff on.
Turns out, its multiplicative. Making it a super op shield growth skill so long as you have some buff extenders.

I decided to pass on this fusion because he will be pullable from shards as soon as the fusion starts and I'd rather pull him randomly and be excited about it than pull him after I've done the fusion and go "jeeyy another one, I just worked hard getting him". because honestly, that's how people felt about Eostrid when they pulled her from a sacred shard. Now, for champions you can use multiples of, like a Yumiko-style champ, it's fine. honestly, they should make fusion champions unique and have events where they are added to the hero pool after that.
"Free Willy and his broken Chicken" sounds like a stage act hahaha! Honestly man, the Chicken champion excites me more than this guy does. I was really hyped because I needed a tank champion, but I pulled toragi and I fully booked him out so I might just try him instead. just not sure how good Toragi is for hydra, maybe I need another tank for that one.. or just a Trunda hahaha

Hope this fusion is more accessible because he will benefit mid game players more and having stringent milestones will hurt them. Also it would be good if they restored the shield growth for emic and buffed this guy's shields - game shouldn't be just about unkillable stuff, defensive teams should also shine - especially in PVE content
The hard coded shield limit on emic is a shame and the shield growth or lack of it on this fusion is even worse 😅
No it's not, the classic fusion is quite a resource draining fusion. Grind for 16 rares, level them all to 40, fuse the 16 rares for 4 epics, level the 4 epics to 50, fuse them into Wixwell.

So very dissapointed with his shield growth. That was the part of his kit that I was most excited about and I'm sad to see that it kinda sucks. Will forever be haunted by the ghost of the brogni fusion I skipped back in the day 😔

If only the community was given more information so we could better see the big picture when we were deciding skills... that was my issue with the community voting, we weren't able to see all of the skills at once and we were given no information about multipliers or affinity to base our decisions on.
Not going to skip in case that intercept helps with future content but this guy will be heading to the vault for now.

Only after we saw the other abilities. The A3 was pretty trash on its own and still wouldn't be amazing. It's just the standard Plarium build, either just missing the mark or super broken OP AF.

Unfortunately, the community chose his skills poorly. I'm most likely skipping this fusion.
What ? How ? I mean, def was the only choice, like attack is too risky when you dont know multiplicator, support felt bad...
Once you could see all the abilities sure, but the first couple of choices on their own didn't look so hot and then once the first 2 choices were made we were pretty locked in.

Ill definitely be using him in hydra. I dont think he's bad. Everyone is always so tough on the fusions. And who knows what other game mechanics will be down the line. I never really skip fusions amd im F2P. Just have to be smart about your resources and not waste them between events. Just get to UNM CB as fast as you can and keep your shards.
People are tough on fusions because of the cost associated.

Remember we could have gotten 25% extra dmg 5%per poison on his passive this is just sad
The problem is that this is the hard fusion after Eostridd, who already has more late game versatility in Live Arena & Hydra. He’s just not worth the effort & resources this grindy fusion is going to take for most end game players that have Hydra figured out imo
