You rock bud!!! Good Work here...REALLY wish you would do close up when your carving though!!! It would help those just starting out!😃 the music is the cherry on this cake baby!!!!!😁💘
We know your talented , how do you learn from you going 100mph . I would love to learn how you did the finger print on the flowers 🌸. And how you do your beveling , that’s my problem now . You do such beautiful work .
Do you always tool everything in one sitting? And do you ever re-wet the leather? I often can only get halfway through beveling or so before I have to stop, leather is bone dry next time I get to work on it. Do you recommend slotting out a ton of time to do it all at once?
Zalos' GoPro Shenanigans leather work is what I do for a living, so for me if I don't get it done I don't get paid. Usually I get it all done in one sitting and only having to wet it once. Yes I recommend doing it in one sitting as long as your work stays consistent. If your work started to get sloppy then call it a day. Also pay attention to the amount of moisture that's in the leather. Practice practice practice.
Thanks! What moisture level should there be after getting past the cutting stage? If you have to take a break and come back how much should I wet it? looking forward to more vids!
After you case the leather is the is wet enough through out the rest of the process? Or do you rewet it?. And of you stop and start like different days on a project do you rewet the leather.
Anthon Berger I don't case my leather. I try to get it all done in one sitting, but if I takes multiple days I rewet it when I start. I have to touch it up after I rewet it tho.
Malachi Cassel if it's something your just getting into, look at Springfield leather or Tandy leather for a beginners kit. Usually have all the tools needed to learn. If you're wanting nicer tools, Berry King have some tool sets that are awesome! I learned off TH-cam and being around other leather guys

Zalos' GoPro Shenanigans its all personal preference. You'll just have to keep practicing and figure out what works best for you.

How would you go about attaching that to the guitar
What is the tool number you use around the center of your flowers that you called the thumbprint?
Roger Hardin it’s a Barry King thumbprint. They don’t have the numbers on the tools. But I think it’s the #2 out of their set of thumbprints.

Why a 8B pencil?
Less pressure on the leather to get a clean draw line so it doesn’t leave as deep of an imprint if you need to erase.
