It’s in beautiful condition. You’re lucky to have your childhood collection. I wish I had the one I got for Christmas 1980, but sadly it was not saved.
Only thing I’ve got out of my childhood collection is a red snaggletooth,so your lucky to still have yours masters. I had loads when I was a kid,not because we were wealthy far from it,I was just really good at swapping toys 😂 My Star Wars was sold back in 1991 to fund going to a rave, crazy when I look back it was all still boxed as well!
I would leave it alone !!!! It’s something your mom got you and it’s in great shape .. if you want restore the other one you have and leave this one as is . Merry Christmas my friend!!!!!

Hello masters Joke, if you have seen the brand new wave of B and m Doctor Who figures and not been able to find them. I’d look soon, because my brand new b and m now stocks Doctor who Figures. The Cyberman figure in the friends and foes set is stunning! 👍
This is a tricky one. On the one hand if you've had it for so long then put it somewhere safe and treasure it. Alternatively it would look fantastic when restored. People get new parts for their cars and the car is still considered original. Personally I'd focus on the other two and have some fun with the project. In the words of Obi-Wan "you must do what you feel is right of course" 👍
I was thinking about it last night. I think I will clean my 1985 original, but then restore the other two which are in the loft. I think they are both complete apart from Luke’s training ball. One is already cleaned up and is ready for stickers to be applied. I’m going to the NEC on Friday for the Christmas Toy Fair so I might be able to pick up some parts. I definitely want one or do bits for my Ewok Village. Honestly, thanks for watching and a Merry Christmas to you and your family.🎅☃️🎄

Mine went through two sets of stickers, ramps & gunner chairs. I sent off for replacements in 84 when you could just ask for spare parts.
