I'm looking at increasing my forks from 130mm to 180mm. Have asked about and looked online and the majority am saying it will ruin the geometry and cause stress to the headtube. Using an angled headset and with adjustments to the reach this should in theory counter the negatives on geometry and a better supported headtube also increasing the slack in suspension would aid this too? Be great to hear ideas and thoughts @bikeradar
getting the reach correct was probably the hardest thing to me as i started mountainbiking ... everybody had a diffrent opinion and since you cant realy spot the diffrence if you are new to the sport you quickly felt like you are buried alife in the rabbithole that is the pseudoscience of mtb forums
